Well I took the C1 as the 182 is coming upto a major service, so thought I'd delay it as long as possible!
Anyway, filled the C1 up before we left, and filled it up again when we got there so I knew exactly how much fuel I used and how much it had cost. I drove between 70-75 all the way...
Just caught up with this thread. Your insurers arent stupid, they arent going to try and fight a case that they will probably lose.
Also the bmw driver might be a lovely lady, but her insurers just see that a Clio has driven straight into their customers path. Its a no brainer for them...
In a couple of weeks time I shall be travelling to Edinburgh and back. A 500 mile round trip.
I have a choice of two cars to take, my clio 182 or the birds C1 1.0 petrol.
Personally I thought the C1 would make sense, 60-70mpg compared to 40mpg out of the clio. But then someone...
Just get a 16v, awesome little cars, and unless you are a racing car driver you will hardly tell the difference. Plus if you have a Williams you are stuck with the gold wheels really, whereas you can do what you want to a 16v without ruining the "original" looks!
I would however, go for a...
I think if I had caused that much damage, I would rather it was written off...there are plenty of other 182's out there in exactly the same condition.
Oh and btw, if you knew you wouldnt stop in time, you also knew you were going too fast.
Id be pretty pissed if I had bought a brand new 197 12 months ago, only for it to be replaced with a superior machine! No wonder they dont like it!
As a 182 owner on a budget, I can say that if one day I could afford a new Clio, it would be a 200 and not a 197!!
Yeah contradiction, that was the whole point of the post...
I would get quite excited about that performance from a 1.8 engine! Its great how people who point out how cars will do 60 in 0.8 seconds quicker, thats fantastic if you are a racing driver, but your average joey wouldnt really see...
Its funny how a 172 with 90k is "just run in", but a clio 16v on similar milage would be a bone shaker about to blow up.
Having owned a 16v, a 172 and a 182, I can safely say that a 16v is a great car to get to grips with some performance. 7.7 to 60, so thats less than a second slower than a...
Or take it back to Argos if its within 12 months?...people seem to have forgotten that its the reatailer who has the honour the warranty for 12 months!
For me, PGR4 is the best racer of all time...
If you take out the current generation of racers, I'd go with Daytona USA (arcade), then Gran Turismo, andthen Sega Rally,
Go back another generation, then you have Lotus Turbo Challenge, Outrun and Jaguar XJ220. All awesome!!
got my 3gs from them, no issues, went through quidco aswell, but still waiting for that to go into my accound (it has tracked ok though)
there is a code somewhere to get a free bluetooth headset
