Just caught up with this thread. Your insurers arent stupid, they arent going to try and fight a case that they will probably lose. Also the bmw driver might be a lovely lady, but her insurers just see that a Clio has driven straight into their customers path. Its a no brainer for them...

I think if I had caused that much damage, I would rather it was written off...there are plenty of other 182's out there in exactly the same condition. Oh and btw, if you knew you wouldnt stop in time, you also knew you were going too fast.

Id be pretty pissed if I had bought a brand new 197 12 months ago, only for it to be replaced with a superior machine! No wonder they dont like it! As a 182 owner on a budget, I can say that if one day I could afford a new Clio, it would be a 200 and not a 197!!

For me, PGR4 is the best racer of all time... If you take out the current generation of racers, I'd go with Daytona USA (arcade), then Gran Turismo, andthen Sega Rally, Go back another generation, then you have Lotus Turbo Challenge, Outrun and Jaguar XJ220. All awesome!!

The 200 looks fantastic. The 197 looks too similar to a standard 1.2 from the front. Hopefully the 200 will lost value, so I can buy one!
