i love the ctr mate, i was about to get one but the insurance was going to be 4k a year:eek: so i settled for the 172 cup:cool: ive had no problems with mine so far "touch wood" apart from the interior plastics rattling/squeaking like normal lol
What a silly thing to say!, i have a corsa and a mk1 nova and i bought them for no where near £1000. There well looked after cars an not boyracer material. Just because a car is cheap doesnt mean its no good, my 172 cup is probably the most fragile car i have and it was the most expensive:rolleyes:
well im thinking of these for the cup, has anyone ever been in a clio with these sort of seats in, Do they restrict your view much. I notice that these are side mounted is it just a case of bolting to the subframes to the seat then to the floor once in the correct position?
If the bolts are hacked off to lenth there is a small risk of damaging the threads, better just paying the rip of price and getting the real ones imo, ive spent far to much money on past cars repairing bodged items, the real deal is better in the long run;)
See thats the thing, my powerflow systems in the past have rusted and blown:dapprove: What sort of price did you pay D1CKY:) might be worth a little trip;)
Well since im new to the 172 thing i need help choosing a cat back system for the cup. I like the whole hiddin exhaust look on the cup and dont fancy changing that much;) been looking about and i like the look of the k-tec steath??? The only thing is ive never heard it in person or being driven...
lol i would buy a "Fred & Edde's book of knowledge", infact how awsome would it be if they were your neighbour;)
Back on topic, i thought That if you bought a standerd haynes there would be a 172/182 section, like i used to have for the old valver:S
Had a discussion with a friend at how much the 172 cup weighs, had a look on the car and it says 1300 kg (roughly)
Does anyone know the actual weight of the cup 172? im not being lazy i have searched for the past 20 minutes:)
Cheers
Ecka
I had rage recliners in my old car and i found them very hard to sit on but comfortable on long drives, but too long and you will get a numb arse, but thats just thats seats and my bum:) lol
not good mate:dapprove: , so when are the correct times to change the cam belt, i gather so far the first one should be at 36k when should the next one be, my cups millage has just hit 54k, when should i get it changed:)
Has anyone on here fitted bucket seats to there 172/182, just wondering as i dont think i have ever seen a 172/182 road car with them :S I like the half leather/alacantra interior myself and would be my prefrence:)
