Making the excess up to around £500 took a fair amount off the price, as did adding the mother, still saw nowhere less than 2k though :(
I think what's making it so high is that I've only held my licence 8 months and I have 0ncb as well as the postcode.
Cheers for all your help lads.
I put a screwdriver in between the side of the bullet at the bottom (where the big clip is) and pulled like fook. Seems like it's gonna snap but it won't!
My dad bought the car for me to learn in so added me as a named driver for the year (Quinn-Direct are quite good for learners as named drivers, hence circa £800 last year) Perhaps a bit of a Lusty situation but it's been done now and I want to start my own policy asap!
It's just a Clio 1.2...
Bury in Greater Manchester. My area isn't even 'bad' at all though, no crime whatsoever on my street and surrounding areas. Just one of those things! :(
The cheapest fully comp quote I've got is around £2700 tbh and the car isn't even worth that.
No just a bad postcode (F catagory). I'm 19, 0ncb, held licence for 8 months. Tbh I've seen so many quotes of 2-3k that I'm more than happy to pay this!
Yeah I've made a couple of threads on here about it, basically tried everyone and those who are good for mods and stuff won't cover me as I'm only 19 (Greenlight etc.)
I'm guessing I get a years NCB with this type of insurance?
Flux have quoted me 1.3k TPF&T so I think I'll go with that now...
I have a vague idea but I just want to confirm what would happen if I'm in any kind of accident.
If I got TPF&T, would they only pay out if;
- my car was stolen
- my car was set on fire
- I crashed into someone else (they would pay for the other persons damage only)
- someone else crashed into...
