My tungy gtt seemed to be going from super reliable to fix carb issues every drive. I had to clean idle jet before it left with new owner  he didnt have no issues typically but maybe i was a bit more switched on with it. In comparison my extra van on efi just runs well like efi cars do.
I dont use scan tool. Depends on what car your using it on, i usually do the mutiplex scan and select ecu thats relevant. Every model of ren seems to be slightly different in approach and whats available on the menus.
Does gen90 have onboard datalogging? Most half decent ecus have something. If not just watch live coolant temp data on laptop and check fan cuts in. Also most ecus say fan is active when its on.
Do some datalogging to see what temp the ecu is reporting, where fan is cutting in and out. Ive no idea how accurate ph1 oem temp gauge is, ph2 is not very accurate.
Unfortunately id say the smaller rad and fan combo is the issue, ok for a short period in traffic but not good in longer stints...
Fan will be controlled by ecu as per oem. Shouldnt need an override if it works right, how hot does the coolant get in degrees?
Is the fan adequate sized? I had a small spal one on my turbo trophy which worked ok on cooler days, but was no good on hot days and temp used to steadily creep up...
Sad to see its sold as great looking clio. Fighting the rust and old car stuff when using as a daily driver can get tedious and time consuming, these are more weekend/occasional use cars now.
Keep us updated on the next project.
Awesome update, new engine looks greatand great power figures. First build ive seen where P2V clearance has been measured, time consuming stuff on an f4r. Out of interest, to check with vvt engaged did you advance the inlet cam to copy full vvt engagement?
Ha its been a long day. On all the time every month. They only advertise via facebook so need to keep an eye on that.
Back straight is long enough. Haswell had 145mph out of the Trophy there when he owned it 😆
Small update
Give the interior a deep clean yesterday. The rubber floor mat had deep engrained muck in it which i could not shift. Anyway done a decent mix of apc and used a brush on a drill to really agitate the muck, and it came up spot on. Cleaned the leather on the steering wheel and seats...
Use a hot stainless stapler/plasric welding kit to repair your current bumper. The chinese spec ones on ebay are £15 ish and work excellent, i repaired my kangoo grill bracket recently with one and its solid.
Something like this...
Sorry for the lack of updates on the build as not got round to it yet, but promise i will soon.
April 2023 update
Not touched the trophy since September last year. Ive been cranking the engine over occasionally by hand just incase instead of starting it up, as not keen on starting engines up...
Updates
Running in is done! Well as good as it gets.
Last few miles done on good Friday, went to Croft for a look round as a javelin trackday was on, then had another ride up to Whitby.
Kangoo got a bit of attention at Croft a few people were looking round it and head scratching:LOL:
