Looks good. Prob has got 20k in it as they can be right money pits.
Try and find out how many miles the forged engine has done. The lifespan is a fair bit less than a stock lump.
Map sensor vac readings on idle are usually off if cam timing is out. Id personally get the timing checked by a specialist or somebody who knows what they are doing with an f4r. Looking at the map readings above they are quite high, im sure mine was around 400mbar on idle.
Resale value in the future is worth considering. Non sport converted will be worth less than a genuine sport. All depends what you want it for i guess.
Updates.
Heater matrix arrived. Changed it on Sat morning, 45 mins to do was almost a pleasure compared to every other one ive done on other cars, just glovebox to remove and withdraw from the side no need to remove full dash.
Leak was easy to spot.
Also changed the oil to water modine sandwich...
As above filter is internal in fuel pump sender on uk spec, no separate filter and you cannot change the filter fitted to sender. Fuel pump/sender unit is 70k service interval iirc.
No need to lock ecu when reconfiguring.
The clone clip are a bit sketchy on clio2 when reconfiguring airbags. I done one a while back and more and more faults kept appearing with each change. Restarted the clip software and it sorted itself out.
I had one of these following me briefly on the a1m last year when i was driving the trophy. Look mega, i actually thought it was for one of the race series.
I personally love the handling on my trophy with the northloopcup rcl kit on. Combined with the gripper diff its turn in and press the a pedal. Still wonders about a bit on the roads with toe out but thats par for the course.
You can have airbag ecu connected and no airbags configured or connected and light/servlight works good, saves multiplex issues and xmas tree dash. Had it setup like that on my old Kangoo 172.
Any clio2 airbag ecu will work OK, cheap used out of a povo spec will be fine.
Scrapped sadly as he had to get rid of it as no storage when they moved out of the old nocturnal developments lockup, must be almost 20year ago now. I still keep in touch with Haz hes still kicking about and modifying the renaults.
Ive been in touch with Chris and ive fed back the datalogs, ill flash the ecu with updated map with mpps and go out and do some more datalogging. Id pop down and get it sorted but its hard for me to get over in the week as 2.5hours away.
Could wind some preload off actuator but it will change...
Updates.
Had the Kangoo in at EfiParts a couple of weeks ago for mapping.
Strapped on the dyno.
Old map was quite far off and boost was going to the moon so couldnt do a run up without tuning.
Chris got down to business and started dialling it in. Seen low 300hps straight away. Few runs in...
No coding required luckily. I replaced the full lot for 2nd hand wasnt expensive. Find out what the issue is first as yours might be totally different and very easy fix. If you were closer id have a look for you mate.
Cheers mate. Racevan 3 is eating into my bank balance sadly
Oem renault pump is similar price new over here, very expensive. Id just fit the fuel pump if no aftermarket availability in SA, it will go again. Maybe ultrsonically clean the sender if you have access to one.
Is it a mk2...
Been following updates on insta and good to see its about there now after all the work.
Still dont miss my old tungy. Prefer looking at them these days. Extra van still fills that c1j hit when i need it though.
Clip is good can see exactly whats open on the live data. Not sure on how the door solenoids are set up on twingo, but i had a problem with the Kangoo and the latch was knackered on drivers side which caused similar issues.
If it has door switches like clio2 you could remove one by one and...
The sender has a non replaceable filter inside id be tempted to change the full unit with it being that colour, its prob well past its best, new full aftermarket sender not expensive.
If you really want to change the pump you need to take the bottom basket off. If you lever it off with a...
