No it's not. It's about making it look like your wheels are attached at 90-degrees to the chassis. and trying to create ground effect by skimming the surface with the sills. IMO It would be more justifiable if it came with the body trimmings.

depends, very much, on the rest of the car. and which style of wheels.

ground clearance in single-digit mm is fine for racecar. sealed undersides, venturis, diffusers, gurney flaps, spoilers. All that. Sorted when trying to muscle out a rival into turn 8. Not much good if trying to get out of level 8 of multi-storey

Hertz Dieci's may have in-line filters, so you can butcher those into existing wiring. For the tweeters, I dont know, for the MK.2 you could just about change them without getting the dash out, Mk.3 may be very different though

Probably best to do the CV gaiter sooner rather than later. It only needs to dump its grease and you not know about it for a few hundred miles and you'll be lining up for a driveshaft. Put your meatier tyres on the rear, then at least you'll give the older ones a good send-off, you'll be...

These But dont bother unless you've changed the head unit those. In my old Mk.2 I changed head unit, put in a small subwoofer and adjusted the high-pass filter so the speakers didn't' have to deal with bass. Worked really well I thought.

what about wiring for crossovers & tweeters? I don't know about Mk3 but for Mk.2 if you go for most comps you'll need to rewire the doors/dash. Which is why I'd say the pioneer ones, which literally are plug n play, no extra wiring hassles.

Focal or:- if budget, JBL. for ease of fitting, Pioneer custom-fit jobs

I'm putting 6.5's in place of 5x7's. Already using a speaker ring to mount the woofers but I can't scavenge the old water-guards. I can't push the speaker any further out and even if I did it wouldn't stop any water coming in from the windows etc.
