Keeping the stalks is no problem. If you want to keep the central display, that's a bit trickier. Most decent headunits will have a way of wiring the stalks in, you'll just need the right cables. Even Halfrauds might have the right ones. :)

get 17cm components in the front pods fit some 17cm mid-bass in the back pods. amp them up. should be plenty sufficient if you want to avoid subs. Personally, I have OEM speakers, an Alpine HU and an all-in-one Pioneer tube and although it's not the last word in refinement it's plenty loud...
