Strange, don't know why that would be. As I said, I've never had a problem with connection speeds that wasn't due to the connection itself. Maybe there's some settings on your router or the PS3 itself which are causing your speed problem, but I couldn't comment.

Provided you've got a connection that works, yes. It'll stream HD iPlayer and stuff like that, so it's all connection dependant

I've been using PS3 since launch day, aside from the PSN meltdown and some breakdowns (which, for a 5 yr-old machine is fairly acceptable in my book) it hasn't skipped a beat. PSN would use all of my cable line if it coulde (and usually did), I can't comment about which has the better graphics...
