So, now Big Pete steps down frm the front line.
Sure, he'll be 70 next year, but this just makes it more important that Checo or Kamui do the business and get a "Real" Sauber win on the board...
have you changed the head unit?
if not, I wouldn't bother changing the speakers at all.
If you have changed HU, just get the pioneer custom-fit jobbies, for ease of life. You'll have plenty left for some 1/2 decent co-ax in the back too, or some 6.25" mid-bass speakers and in-line filters.
My launch-spec PS3 always used to get switched off at the plug, but when on standby you'd have a red light on the front.
Switch on from the pad or BR-remote.
Now I just leave it on, stockpiling electricity in caseof a strike innit. It never fires up by itself though, even just to turn the fan...
Did they also check that the suspension was all good?
after a really minor knock, my 172 needed uprights and all sorts, but to my layman eyes all I could see was body damage.
DAMNIT! I missed out on doing my amends by merely seconds.
I'm going to have to start using the spellcheck on this forum, I'm embarassing myself with my slack typing.
So we're moving into a world where the human mind can become even more vacant and underused, provided you've got a phon in your pocket... with some charge in it.
I hear that teadchers are saying that kids shouldn't be learning facts at school, because they've got smartphones. They should just...
You can keep the dash-pod working, but you'll need particular head units and inferface leads.
I've got an Alpine which hooks into the controls and dash-display, the lead was £70, but worth it IMO, no sense in having a dead display if you can help it.
aftermarket stuff will always look out of place, but that's for any car.
Still, a subtle Alpine unit (or an old nakamichi, if you can get one) isn't going to ruin your console as much as, for instance, a Sony XPLOP!!!!!! or whatever they're called.
back speakers are easy, any given 13cm's will go in fine. But wiuthout a naftermarket HU, you may as well just go for any cheapo hole-filler.
I apprecaite what you're saying about the OEM look of the HU. I changed mine for an Alpine with "Blackout" and a connection tothe dash-top display.
I...
Pioneer custom-fit jobbies are the way to go for easy-fitment. only swearing needed is to get the tweeters in and out, the wiring stays as is.
THing is, the OEM speakers in my 172 are actually pretty decent, you'll find the head unit is the leak link in the chain.
You may have trouble rigging those components into the existing loom. The OEM speakers have in-line filters to stop bass t othe tweeters and highs to the mid-bass IIRC.
To fit those Vibes you may need to rewire from the head unit to the speakers, integrating the included Vibe crossovers and...
Have you got any pattern-part replacements (as in, not Renault-spamped bits?)
There you go, non-standard part fodifications.... oil filter, brake pads, brake discs etc.
