The exhaust on my new to me cup is falling to pieces. Would like a stainless replacement. Is the PMS exhaust much louder than standard, would be stealth back box with two boxes? Cheers all
what did you end up going with? After some coil overs for my cup, bilsteins are the easy option but worried they may be too soft for the odd track day I’ll be doing.
Checked with a multimeter. Cylinder 1, 2, and 3 all read 017. Cylinder 4 seems completely dead. Looks like I’ll be ordering a set of injectors. Thanks for the help.
I’ll start by unplugging the injectors one at a time and see if anything changes to work out if it’s an injector. Have already checked what plugs I can find and all seem good.
My new to me Clio 172 cup has the engine light on. When I picked it up it sounded like it’s running on 3 cylinder. Changed the plugs, leads, and coil pack in the hope this would cure the problem but it hasn’t. Light is on solidly for a few minutes, then will flash for 15-20 seconds and go back...
I went out today and picked up a car. Found a 172 cup relatively local to me. Hasn’t been on the road in over a year so need a little freshen up plus getting the belts done. Hopefully be on the road in a few weeks.
So after a near enough 20 year break I’m looking for another Clio as fun thing for the odd track day and some spirted weekend driving. Back in 2005 I bought my first Clio, a silver PH1 reg W744WTR. It’s was the long term test car for evo before I got it. I sold this after 2 years and bought a...
You got it. I was trying to sort out getting the money together and noticed it had already sold before I was ready. Looked like a good one from the advert.
Had Toyo T1R's on my 205 Gti, half a day at brands and they were destroyed. The pattern had worn away to points so you had next to no grip by lunch time so the rest of the day was pretty rubbish.
I've got P Zero Nero's at the moment, a bit pricey, about £140 for two but i think they're very...
Whats the best stuff for removing all the scratches from my car. None of them are major just there are quite alot of them.
Do i go down the T cut route or is there something better?
Can anyone recommend a good wax/polish for the car?
Cheers All
Found on ebay, don't know if anyone knows what it is.

If you've got an old type license with either B + E or B1 ( I think ) then you can tow a trailor over 750kgs. If it's a newer license you can't tow anything that weighs more than 750kgs without doing a test.
Not sure if that helps
Its a 54 reg and came from Bexhill so it was only half an hour from me. Went to halfrauds yesterday and got some colour match wax for it so i can hide the chips, only been driving it for less than 48 hours and its filthy already. But living in the countryside with horses, tractors and mud just...
Picked it up yesterday, its a black 182 with 55,000 miles on the clock. Took me ages to find someone who would take my Volvo S70 in part exchange but i did it and after parting with £4000 its now mine.
Only thing i've found i don't like with it is the car being black it shows up all the stone...
I'm in the process of buying another clio. My first car was a 1.2 Clio, then after after few other cars i brought a Ph1 172, then after another few car i brought a Williams 3 and a few more cars and i'm buying a 182 this Saturday.
So in answer to the question yes i would buy another Renault.

Been trying to work out what its got, but think its jst a 182 FF
Just rang the guy turns outs its not a cup but its got the goodies in the car like cruise control which is what i was after. The belts have been done and its on a 54 reg and in black.
Even though its not a cup still think its a good price.
Guy who I have been talking to has offered me his 182 cup for £4700. It's done 53k miles has fsh and the car is in excellent condition. Is this a good price given the current climate?
Cheers all
Think you've got it in your favour that you live further North than i do. I live just South of London and the cars round me always seem to be the most expensive in the country.
As someone else said if you can't get the price down to a reasonable amount just walk away. Then if they've still...
I've also been looking at Cups as i'm after another clio. When i asked a similar question about 2 weeks ago i was told around the £4k mark for a 172 with 40,000 miles.
Been out looking at some over the weekend and if you pay less than 4 you get one with 60k + miles. I went and looked at two...
I'm after a new car and have a budget of just over £5000. It needs to be a good road car but i also do track days so needs to be able to cope with some track work.
My previous car was a Phase 1 172, which i put some coilovers on and loved it. It was a good everyday car and good fun on the...
The prices of private sales are low at the moment. The problem i have is i've got to trade my old car in so i've got to go to a dealer unless i can find a private seller who will take a p/x.
