Is that a lighten flywheel on a turbo car? Do you know what clutch is fitted? Also is there anything you’ve had to do to make it more reliable on track?
Sorry for all the questions.
Afternoon all,
I’ve got a rebuilt gearbox with a diff being fitted soon. Had planned on fitting a lightweight flywheel at the same time. Plans have changed a little and now planning on fitting an ED turbo kit over the winter. Would I be better off keeping the standard flywheel for the turbo...
While I’m off work helping the wife after the birth of our second child I took the chance to go and pick these up from another member. In my opinion the best looking wheels for a Clio 1*2. Hopefully get the tyres mounted over the next week and with the spacers and studs.
Wheels are et43 with 205...
20 years, or near enough I bought my first Clio sport, a silver phase 1, W744WTR. I had this for 2 years and loved every minute of it. The poor thing put up with all the abuse I threw at it and never gave me any grief. I sold it when I needed a lot of money spending on it, and have always missed...
Evening all. Does anyone on here do trips up and down the country who could pickup a gearbox from NorthLoop in Lichfield and bring it down to Haywards Heath in Sussex. Would pay whatever is needed would just rather someone picked it up rather than a courier. Failing that does anyone have any...
Afternoon all.
Has anyone fitted this? Just wondering how hard the job is, also did it make any difference to keeping the fluid cooler? Did a track day at brands and kept spitting fluid out. Have seen that redline do a power steering fluid with a higher temp rating so might try that.
Evening all. My cup which has 105k miles has a very sloppy gear change. I’ve fitted the brass bushes, is there anything else I can change to tighten it all up again?
Cheers
Thank you all. Is there any other bits worth doing while the gearbox is out? Will need to get it sent to Northloopcup to have it fitted and the gearbox refreshed at the same time.
Just incase anyone is looking for one I found an identical one to the Renault one on Amazon for £10. Only differences I could find were the wires shorted so you need to cut and join it to your old Renault lead and it doesn’t have the second wire that plugs into the loom. Works perfectly fine in...
Thank you all. Kev at Kam racing recommended 7kg front just wonted to make sure that wouldn’t be too soft. I’ve got no idea what’s on the car currently. Looks like the springs might be blue under all the dirt. Only had it for about a month and just working my way through getting bits sorted.
Evening all. Planning on ordering some BC DS over the next week. Those of you who do the odd track day have you gone 7 or 8 for your front springs? Also while I’m at it would a PMS arb compliment the coilovers?
Just thought I’d have a go as it worked on my discovery. If you go to tool station or screwfix and get a tub of big wipes scrub and clean with a bit of applied elbow grease it takes off whatever the rubber coating is. Takes a few minutes but gets rid of the sticker feeling.
Going to be fitting some coilovers in the next month or so. Just trying to get everything else back to a relatively good standard before fitting the coil overs. It’s a fun car and not a daily driver for me. Have a discovery and a hilux for that.
Morning all. Working my way through bits that need doing on my new to me Clio cup. Being 24 years old I’m thinking a lot of the bushes will need replacing. Things like the anti roll bar and rear beam is there any benefit to using powerflex over standard or just stick standard mounts.
Cheers all
