Have ended up buying the wilwood kit off another member who bought it and never fitted it. Those of you who’ve got the jamsoprt kit what did you do about replacement discs? Don’t want to put the toyota discs back on when I wear them out.
If you do want the injectors let me know. Should be getting the car back next week with all the now redundant parts. Can also ping you the invoice to show they’re not copies.
In the final stages of the turbo conversion being finished. Are the standard 172 cup brakes good enough for track days or is it worth converting to the 197 brembos while I’m shovelling money into the car. Cars currently brembo discs with PBS track pads.
I’ve got a set of AD08RS fitted to the car in 205 50 15 flavour. How would these fair as a wet track tyres, seem to have plenty of grooves for moving water. Would like to get a set of AR1’s fitted to my other wheels for dry tyres.
Is that paint or has it been wrapped? Not seen paint rip/tear like that before. If it’s paint I’m assuming it was put on while still to wet but would have thought it would have keyed to the surface better underneath. Also the bit with the bubbles is that all paint? Have seen paint react with...
Lack of updates from me. Apart from fitting an OMP steering wheel nothing else has happened to the car, just been picking bits up for the work to start in January.
On the build list for Jan is a rebuilt gearbox with a Quaife, ttv flywheel, sachs paddle clutch, arb bushes, steering rack bushes...
Before I buy the kit those of you that have turbo clios do you manage to track the cars with out the constant need to come in to either fix it or let it cool down after 3-4 laps? I’ve had a good search through the forum and there are/have been lots of turbo cars but after reading pages of build...
W744WTR was a press car before I owned it. When I got the car in 2005-2006 it was already on 4-5 owners. If you stick the reg into google it was the long term test car for EVO magazine.
Just looking at cages for my Clio. On the picture for the R017 it shows plates for the underside of the main hoop. Does this mean it’s now optioned as a fully bolt in cage?
After recommendations for a leather wheel to fit to my cup made from leather. I would get the Sabelt one in suede but I get really sweaty hands so I’d ruin it in no time.
I’d like to put a ED turbo kit on the car over winter. Those of you who have turbo cars how do you manage the heat on track days? The cars just a fun weekend thing for me but would like to try and not kill it on a track day.
Where did you get the wiper blank from? I know people say you’ll miss not having a rear wiper but mines not worked in the 6 months I’ve owned it so I won’t miss what I don’t have.
Im in the process of trying to work out what seats to get for mine. After the last track day I was getting flung all...
So far not a single noise from shifter. Don’t know which of the three bits make the difference but I thought I’d do all of it before fitting.
Bearing came from Merlin motorsport search
NMB Spherical Bearing ABT12,
Just search diving weight for the lead shot, think that came from eBay, £20 for...
Little update from the last week. PMS shifter fitted, followed the advice on here. Fitted the new bearing to the turret, packed the linkage boot with heavy bearing grease and fitted the rod with lead shot. Bearing easy to do if it’s not in the car, and lead shot for anyone looking for it search...
