Get the place thats coating them to do the prep. They will usually remove tyres, dip/blast and remove all marks and coat/refit tyres for the price. Done a few sets myself back in the day, takes quite a bit of graft to get kerbed alloys right. Drop them off and pick them back up fresh let them do...
Starting on 2nd attempt when cold will be weak fuel pressure regulator. Mine does it - pump does not prime first turn of the ign and non start or very rough start/conk out. When turning key 2nd time the pump primes and it fires up no bother. Try it next time you cold start, crack ign on and turn...
It might be worth giving Chris @ efi a shout see what he recommends. They definitely wont be 630cc’s it wont need them, look like the newer style 225/r26 stock injector.
Mine was originally diesel and as far as im aware its still the diesel tank. I didnt do the conversion however have pretty much rebuilt every part of it due to bodges. Its currently got 172 sender and pump with the float off the kangoo sender so the fuel gauge reads correct at the top. 172...
They last miles longer than any ford from the same era thats for sure. Its sad to see some good nick shells going to the weigh in yard. Gve it ten years and it will be hard to find a rot free shell imo.
Small update
Had the Kangoo weighed and come out a lardy 1138kg ! Its quite superleggera too with no airbags or abs etc. I reckon it would be a struggle to get it under 1000kg without going really agressive taking everything out. As i quite like it as it is interior is quite a nice place to be...
Cheers ? built the garage from scratch last year, Ill dig out some pre pics to stick on. Garden is 90% complete need to get a couple of little bits done but nothing too major.
I have a big thread on TurboRenault for the extra https://turborenault.co.uk/threads/extra-turbo.686/

Has anybody used DDT 2000 for diagnostics ? My clip is bust so going to attempt to try and get it to work again as have a lead for it. Installed it on windows 10 previously but struggled to get it to connect to the obd.
Water pump is easy enough once the aux belt is off, remove water pump pulley and a handful of etorx bolts. I had to use a 1/4 drive ratchet as space is tight. Use a genuine Renault pump as cheap enough and a gallon of type d to refill, new aux kit and belt.
Im on cup shocks - mark fish trophy eibach springs - its on my Kangoo 172cup. Turn in is s**t hot - not done loads and loads of road miles however the tyres do not seem to be suffering.
Started mocking up my dci 100 intercooler on my 65hp runabout. Looks pretty straightforward pipe wise however this sensor is on the original pipework from turbo to egr.
What is it for ? Act ? I was going to chop the plastic pipe and fit the silicone hose after it but might not get a good clamp...
Providing nothings melting would not worry. Turbo cars do get hot under the bonnet - if the coolant temps and oil temps are ok then it will be fine. Probably worth converting to epas though as extra heat on the hpas aint going to help it.
Probably rusted through due to age or incorrect jacking up using that/sill. Use the chassis rail behind.
Easy enough to sort will need the inner sill fixing too as looks quite crusty
Quick jack points look good. Any pics of how they are tied into the inner cill ? I fancy doing this to my extra van, was thinking about tieing the fronts into the cage i have planned
Im running oem ph2 172 box and filter on my kangoo. I have a ph1 box which i tried recently - made a decent noise with no cold air feeds but felt like it had lost torque in the mid range ? Could have been placebo i guess ?
Fancied trying a v6 espace box but they are rocking horse s**t to find...
