Dear OP, Please do it. Do it for CS. It may cost you more than just buying a megane, be worthless once you've finished and handle like a mallet, but it will be a 'project' like none seen before. Or again. And you can even put DCi badges on it without lieing!

any car that is being threashed beyond its life to try will alwys seem to be more powerful than it is. which isw why company and hire cars are the fastest on the planet... .actually, 2nd, a 1.2 Clio with a drainpipe exhaust will be faster.

blower and turbo will give big gains. A smaller blower-pulley would also be a bit handy

in the mean time you can work on those shopping lists on the doors.

is the tuning system a bit more advanced now? It wasn't that long ago that wing settings were high, medium or low. I could envisage Raikkonen at the time. "I have not enough front grip, wing needs medium setting"

It is. For when you need to demist your screen without it taking 4 hours. Just run the car over to Kwik Fit, they'll do a regas and if it doesn't make any difference, you dont pay.... and take it to an aircon specialist instead to do the real detective work

Well, only if you're trying to impress people or go at speeds that'll only land you with more points. Cheap motors are cheap (to run) which is a positive viewpoint on things.
