headunits will quote something like 4x50w, which is actually closer to 4x15w
To get the best from good components, an amp will be needed. If you have 60w RMS speakers then a 60w RMS amp will work well.
Sound quality will be dictated by-
-quality of speakers
-quality of headunit & source...
If you go down the 6x9 route then at least you do keep more boot space.
You will need a nice, heavy shelf though, else all you have is a load of rattle and hum.
But Jonny's jake on subs may be from someone who's had a bad time with them. So long as you dont try to fill out 200w of headunit...
Amplify a decent set of components in the front.
then either put some speciifc mid-bass speakers in the rear mounts (with an amp)
or just get an all-in-one box. Easy enough to fit (and remove!) and gives you plenty of bass.
ah, I see.
well, you can always make the matt-black plastic a gloss black. Or remove the rub-strips altogether.

Yeah, I gathered that, it's got to be a "tuned" port etc.
As a bodge-job you could always poly-filla around the rim of the well (huhuhhuhuhuh.. I said rim) and dump the wooden box'lid' where you want it.
Still, it's a silly idea. Either you put a grille over it and end up with a pen through...
Well, if the wood is heavy enough then maybe you can get aqway with that.
after all, the "box" is the wheel well and unless you've got masses of rot, it shoiuld be fairly "sealed".
consider it a "ported" box I suppose?
I'm yet to see a crash thread where someone comes clean without caveat or proviso.
"I was tear-assing through some village when I hit some ice and barrel-rolled into the churchyard lolz"
There always seems to be some mitigating circumstance that the OP hopes will abolish them of all...
Valid.
A massive repatch is in order, preferably bringing back Midfield raceway and that super-annoying special stage / test track
EDIT: Ah, yes "Complex String", that's the one
A sod
THere are plenty worse out there, just that PD set the expectations so high by taking forever to release it that everyone was bound to feel let down when it finally came out
Needs lowz etc.
I managed to get this of a BG 172, which isn't too terrible.... aside from the lego C-pillars, oh and the creased roof, but that probably happened when it got reversed into some armco at 60mph or something.... It'll T-cut anyway

Am I the only person who uses their boot for carrying things... like luggage or shopping?
To have your sub cone exposed is just asking for something sharp to set itself free of a bag and leave you with a duff sub.
That's why I'm sticking with my all-in-one tube, it may not be the best, or...
What are the "Seasonal Races" at the moment?
I swiftly ran out of entheusiasm once I struggled to get hold of cars to progress with. Until I net the Sauber I wont be happy.
Although the track-builder is fun, it could do with giving more choise to personalise it, the current method blows...
