You'd still just have a 1.6 clio though, albeit with a bigger engine and other scavenged parts.
It'd probably work out cheaper and certainly take a lot less time to just buy the 172, get it back on the road and respray it.

Absolutely no sense in chopping yours in though, unless you go back to another motorised shopping trolley. With used cars, there's a strong likelihood you're buying somehting that was off-loaded because of problems it had...
