    Best set up with RS2

Thanks for all the comments. I'll dig out the graph when i get a minute at home (and i remember), for comparison. To be honest i was tempted to sell the RS2 on recently, as my current car doesn't seem any faster than my old 182, with light breathing mods and RSTuner map. Then putting the money...

    Best set up with RS2

Very good point, I'd not really thought about that. I'll give them a ring later in the week. I do have the graph, but only in paper format at the minute, torque is pretty flat and at around 150 for a large part of the rev range as is common with these. Can remember where peak power is, but it...

New project. Megane engined RS200 road car.

Fair enough, I just don't like them to be honest. Had them in the past and they're perfectly fine in the wet/damp. Just too soft in the dry if you want to push a little, even in XL. I bought a set of alloys recently with them fitted and the car became a little unsettled/unstable whereas before...

    Best set up with RS2

I've been tempted by the low boost kits on offer, but i've decided i'm going to stick with the RS2. Partly due to the cost and partly due to the issues several people have had (I know several have had no issues or only minor, etc). I also figured i'd just be better off buying a faster car if i...

New project. Megane engined RS200 road car.

Would love to have something like this. I wouldn't have opted for RS3's though, they're not great on a standard car. With 300 bhp and a better selection of rubber, i'd have probably been looking at PS4's or similar.

    My Second 182

Thanks for the comments and advice. Car looks smart there. I've taken the Ultraleggeras back off the car now, they'll be getting a colour change shortly. Plus the Rainsports 3's are rubbish and the rears are probably past legal, The NS2R's are much better, at least in the dry. The Ultraleggera...

    My Second 182

So I didn't get much time to mess around with the car last weekend, but I did get 10-15 minutes to cut the rear carpet/trim to the right size and shape. Plan was to glue it down using spray glue, but for now it's just laid out and tucked under the existing trim. Also the wheels I picked up...

    The New Phone Thread

Had my OnePlus 3 for a week now, and I'm pretty happy with it. Was tempted by the s7/edge and note 7, but didn't want to lose too much screen size coming from a nexus 6. In the end the only options really were the note 7 or the edge, and both were quite a big more expensive for marginal...

    Mini Cooper R50 R52 R53 S GP JCW 16" Alloys & Yokohama AD08r Tyres £200 ono

Can you get custom spacers made to suit the clio centre bore to the inner side and the mini wheel centre bore on the outer side? At ET48, should be able to get away with a 25mm spacer, so should be plenty of material there.

    CS_dave 172 20v clio turbo

I think Titanium silver is one of my preferred colour, I actually wanted either Artic Blue or Racing Blue when i purchased my Black Gold Clio. This time around I wanted to find a Titanium Silver and ended up with a Artic Blue. There was a nice looking Liquid Yellow recently, with recaros for...

    My Second 182

To be honest the Jetta was a good car when i sold it, i'd fixed and replaced everything that you'd expect to be a problem on them. It was also faster than the clio is in all but 1st gear/standing starts and i'd get 500 miles to a tank almost without fail. If I had the room on the drive i'd have...

    My Second 182

So i sold my BG 182 in August 2014 a couple weeks after my wedding, as i knew i'd need a bigger car in the near future, didn't really want to sell it to be honest but put it up for sale for a bit more than i really expected to get for it and it basically sold within hours of posting it on here...

    Corbeau seats club sport

That's great.... I was pretty concerned, as I'd tried out quite a few seats at gsm before ordering these, but I'd not been able to try them out before as they don't stock then in the showroom. None of the other seats seemed to have any flex, at least noticeable flex.

    Corbeau seats club sport

I'll be fitting a pair today on x-low frames into my 182, if the weather improves this afternoon. I must say though, I was a little surprised how much flex there was in the upper section of the seat. Hoping once there all bolted up it'll be a little better. I'm taking the runners off mine, to...

    Intake manifold fitting

Where would be the best place to get a full set of bolts for reinstalling the intake manifold, fuel rail and protector? I'm planning on removing my RS2 to sell on. But whilst i've got all the parts i need, I don't have any bolts.

    Wheel spacers..

I had some 20mm bolt to hub alloy spacers on my last clio, ended up having to buy a stud conversion kit for them because the alloy was so soft that the bolts were stripping the threads from the spacer. Think I'm going to go longer bolt or stud conversion with bolt through spacers next time.

Approx cost to get this through an MOT?

I had a geniune Renault disc crack on my old clio after around 8k miles. Though it still looked new, so it wouldn't have failed an mot before it cracked. Mot tester is probably just seeing wear to the disc and a build up of rust, and concluding it must be weakened. I think £150/£200 is a bit...

    Moving the gearstick back mod

I know this is an old thread now, but I looked this over before attempting to do this mod and just thought i'd update it with what i did as i think it's a easier and safer option So I managed to do this without cutting any of the selector shaft off. The gear linkage is hollow, but the clamp...

    ***How much is it worth?***

How much would a JMS RS2 be worth nowadays? I'm contemplating my future options (uprated cams with RS2, low boost turbo, or new car - R26 or similar maybe) Seem to remember them being listed up for around £1000 a couple years ago.

    New car....Megane 225

I was tempted by this myself when i saw the ad last week, but I only bought my clio 2-3 months ago. So in the end i decided to stick with my clio for a little longer. I'll probably change my mind a few times, but I think a Megane will be my next car. Hope you enjoy it.

What in-car phone holders / setups do people use?

The phone or the holder? The phone isn't a copy of anything, design my be similar, but then pretty much all phones are similar in design.

What in-car phone holders / setups do people use?

Going to give this a try myself. Though i've bought the vent mounted version that is £5.99. I've also ordered the brodit pro clip as i hate using suction mounts. Idea is that i'll fix the brodit clip in place and then remove the vent mounting clips on the back of the phone holded and screw in...

    Budget-ish Tyres?

F1 ASY3 are much better than rainsport 3's. I switched from RS3 to F1 on my last car and it transformed the handling of the car.

    Upgraded cams for 182

Interested in this topic myself. Running a RS2 on my 182, mapped by RS Tuning. Belts are due in a couple years time, so may go down the route of camshaft with the RS2 setup when they need doing. I thought the 197 cams were considered the best setup with this, and around 195bhp possible, some...

    Uprated Engine/Gearbox mounts

Fitted these yesterday, engine bearly moves now, little bit of give on the gearbox side (as expected really). Definitely stiffened things up quite a lot, and it feels stiffer when driving. I am pretty surprised that there is next to no added vibration, 40mph in 5th for example is like driving a...

    Yanoo Shiff shift

Got home from work last night and the shifter was mega stiff, made it difficult getting into gear by the time i got home. So decided to finally take a quick look at it. Pulled the gaitor off, and played around with the adjusts. Seems there was plenty more adjustment to loosen it up. Shifts are...

    Uprated Engine/Gearbox mounts

Yep that did the trick. It seems there was some glue holding it together. I didn't want to risk breaking it, by using excessive force before asking. so thanks.

    My new 182

A week is acceptable given the work required. I may go down this route myself next year if i decide i'm happy to keep the clio for a couple more years at least.... I'm still unsure if i want more power and whether turbo is the best route for me. I quite fancy a R26 too. It baffles me why people...

    Uprated Engine/Gearbox mounts

So I've got the powerflex stuff from KAM racing last week, upper engine mount came on friday too, just waiting on the gearbox mount, which will hopefully be here today. To fit the engine mount bush, i need to remove the inner part of the mount. I seem to remember these being separate on my last...
