East Midlands - Go Karting Day - Date TBC

I paid £15 for 20 minutes yesterday. But they actually gave me 2 lots of 15 minutes. To be honest 10 minute stints would have been better for me. I had to keep slowing down to give myself a break. Wrist and back were killing me. Managed a 26.9 on my second run, which I thought was pretty good...

    ***Tyre Poll***

I found the Rainsport 2 tyres lost a lot of grip in wet and dry weather when the tread got to around 2.5-3mm, switched the rears and fronts around (rears were on around 5mm, and instantly it was improved. Now been running the Rainsport 3's for about a month, wet weather grip is definitely...

    Engine mount advice.

Upgrading the mounts will however create more vibration in the car. I tried the Evol dog bone mount, ended up taking it off and selling it on after a couple of week, because the added vibration was horrible. It was brilliant at full throttle and did improve gear changes, but for a road car...

    Engine refresh advice

Engine dynamics have a list of different engine builds that they do. Might be worth looking on there, even if its just for an idea of cost. They can do the rebuild or just sell you the parts so that you can do it yourself.

    My 52 reg cup £1350

I know it says not to message about selling parts off the car, but I'd be interested in the wheels with a part ex for my old 182 cup pack wheels with RS2 tyres, with a decent amount of money your way. I'm only in notts, so can collect.

bought a 172 to go to the nurburgring!

Full suspension refresh I'd guess would be the best place to start. ie: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?707646-Group-Buy-Suspension-refresh No point working around old worn parts.

    Clio 182 - Daily Option?!?

I got 350 miles out of a tank recently (36.71mpg), which was about £55 to fill @ 1.269p per litre. Mixed driving, but taking it pretty easy. Normally get anything between 280 and 320 out of £50 at the current rate of about 126.9p per litre. I had a company Insignia diesel SRi (160bhp version)...

    Clio 182 - Daily Option?!?

I do a similar commute, roughly 16 miles to work with little traffic, but go through the town Centre to the gym most evening after work. I work 9 till 5 so worst of the traffic and I can still manage 30 - 35 mpg calculated on a full tank, depending on how heavy my foot is I've had the on board...

    Turbo ideas?

Engine dynamics do a turbo conversion kit in 230 bhp or 280 bhp, if you want a simple kit. I believe they fit it too. Don't know how good they are though

    ***Tyre Poll***

I've just bought a set of RS3's for my new 15's. Mainly for the price (£150 delivered for 4), I'm currently thinking that these will be my winter wheels and i'll then get a nice set of wheels for summer use with something more expensive rubber. But undecided yet. Been running RS2's for the last...

    Sky packages

I've just upgraded our Virgin media package which i thought was a pretty good deal. I have to have Fibre Broadband too so options are a little slim. Pay £50 for 6 months then it goes up to £55 for 6 months. 30mb internet (soon to be 50mb) unlimited, XL tv package with Free BT sports HD, and...

The 'What MPG Do You Get?' Thread

Got 320 miles from full to fuel light coming on, then 340 miles from full to filling up again. £55.50 to fill up at 127p/l, so 35.37 mpg. Computer was actually reading 35.5 mpg, so fairly accurate. Mostly commuting to and from work mixture of built up areas and country roads, and i drive into...

    Keyed car

Never had this done to my car, but seen it a lot where i live, few months after we moved in someone had run along our street and several others slashing tyres, luckily for me it was only down one side of the street, the opposite to ours. Must have done 60-70 cars. Hopefully one day they'll get...

Anyone just happen to buy a 'no issue' 1*2

Had my 182 since March last year, having gearbox replaced today due to a failed diff (along with the clutch while its all out), also had to have a new rear caliper, brake senser, dogbone mount and wiring cleaned up. On buying the car had the belts replaced, disc and pads all round, tyre all...

Air Con Regas/Service and Alloy wheel repair/refurb in Nottingham

Need to get 182 AC sorted, it's just not blowing out very cold. Anyone got any recommendations for getting this done in Notts, preferrable central Notts. I've found AC/DC Air Conditioning (http://acdcairconditioning.co.uk/) which is a mobile service for £55, anyone used these before? Price sound...

A few photoshops of my 172, opinions needed

Rota grids, just not in black. Personally hate black wheels, they just don't look good.

My New BG 182, finally cleaned

Yep it is your old one then. Guy i bought it off had owned it for 6 years, i assume you were the previous owner before that? Will get the tyres sorted next time, got a long list of cleaning products to buy.

My New BG 182, finally cleaned

Brought the car at the beginning of march, fancied a 172/182 for the past few years, but things like insurance cost and house buying have got in the way. So when i gave the company insignia i'd been driving for the past few months back to work and my old punto failed its mot, I started looking...

182 whistling noise at around 80mph (with video)

Had a play around this morning with some electrical tape. Fixed the plastic scuttle panel down best I could (drivers side was loose), then realised the panel was actually raised from the screen slightly, so taped everything down including the top rubber seal and corner sections. This sorted the...

182 whistling noise at around 80mph (with video)

It sounds dreadful, I can't live with it like that. Going to try and get to the bottom of it tomorrow.

182 whistling noise at around 80mph (with video)

Checked the top windscreen rubber, seems pretty solid. The corner pieces weren't too great, so tried sticking them down with some electrical tape and went out to test it, but it was no better. I pulled over to check the car over and noticed the lower plastic covers below the window screen...

Not sure why the video doesn't post, link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuUPbRGL8XE It's just occurred to me that it kind of sounds like a break squeal.

182 whistling noise at around 80mph (with video)

Only had the car for a few weeks, but noticed this whistling noise a couple weeks ago. Recorded on the way home from work tonight: <iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/LuUPbRGL8XE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I've had a bit of work done to the car...

    Noisy!

I had the whole lot done, because there was no history of it ever being done on my car when i brought it. Mick was recommended to me by other members on here when i asked a few weeks ago. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?686038-182-Cambelt-kit-and-Auxiliary-belt-in-Nottingham

    Gearbox Fluid Replacement

Thanks for the replys. There are a couple of different noises, one i believe is from the exhaust which i took a look at last night (cat to centre connection), this is definitely engine revs related, meaning if i press the clutch down and rev the engine the noise still accurs. I managed to...
