    Gearbox Fluid Replacement

I know there are several threads on this, so i apologise for yet another, but i have searched quite a bit, and i'm still not 100% sure what oil to get for my 182. I know that the recommend oil from Renault is Elf Tranself NFJ 75W-80, which is a GL 4+. I also know that a lot of people also use...

Pressure Washers - What's the Best Current Model?

I brought the C110 from Argos last week for £60 (same as the refurbed model linked above). It's excellent, glad i didn't spend any more on a more expensive model as it plenty powerful enough for washing the car with. Though these are generally pretty reliable i reckon its worth the extra £30 for...

The 'What MPG Do You Get?' Thread

Had my 182 for a couple of weeks now and managed 850 miles. My commute to work is a fairly economical run (very little stop start traffic usually), no motorways though, and i can get 40mpg if i drive normally (Driving same speed as cars around me). But i find that with a few blast here and...

Can you get three road bikes on a Clio 182 using the OEM roof bars?

Might be tight depending on handlebar widths, but you can always loosen the bars and swing them round 90 degrees to give yourself more room.

    Buying a 182 :)

I bought my 182 last week, paid £1600 for it, but it's needed belts and dephaser doing, front disc and pads and a full set of tyres, costing me around £1000. It already had a stainless scorpion exhaust, so that was a bonus. Only other things i've done is replace the wiper blades for borsh...

Loom adaptor was included in the box.

recommend me a new head unit

Can I blame the swipe predictive text on my phone for that?

recommend me a new head unit

I've just brought a pioneer DEH-4500BT for £100 from Halfords (can get them for a little under £90 online). I'm really impressed with it, and brought it for the same reasons.

RS Clio Phone mount...... What are people using?

Don't like the idea of sticking something into the CD slot on my brand new stereo. Looked around a little bit more and came across another thread on here (via a google search), the brodit proclip came up, when i looked on the brodit website previously the only mount shown was positioned next to...

Best Android Handset on the Horizon

You soon get used to the size, then you wonder how you managed with anything smaller. I've got the Note 2, and it's brilliant, makes my gf's S3 look like a little toy.

    ***Tyre Poll***

Got the Rainsports fitted this morning, i'll check tyre pressure on the way home from work to see what they are currently (i suspect they'll probably be higher than renault recommended anyway). But surprisingly even just over the 5 mile drive into work from the tyre place they seemed to offer...

RS Clio Phone mount...... What are people using?

I need to sort a phone mount out for my Note 2 to go in the 182. I'd prefer something that i can mount to the centre console so that the phone is just above the vents. Don't really like using window suction mounts, but also don't want to put holes in the dash either. On my last car i screwed the...

    Headunit and Speaker Advise

Another thing that i've noticed is that the sound disappears for a second (maybe less), it did this with the original headunit too, but i assumed it was just because the radio signal was being lost as i'd only used the radio function on the standard stereo. But it's now doing it with the new...

    Headunit and Speaker Advise

Got the headunit installed last night(well kind of, i need to remove the rubber thing that the old stereo slotted into at the back, i assume to centralise it, as it's stopping the new one from sliding in fully - how's this done?), has made a huge difference to the sound quality and power. But I...

    ***Tyre Poll***

Ordered 4 Rainsports in 205/45 R16 V for my 182 today, £296 fitted. Hoping they're a big improvement over the GT Champiro Tyres that the previous owner had put on them, and that the soft sidewall comments are more towards the taller tyres fitted to 15's. How long do people find these tyres...

    Headunit and Speaker Advise

Ok cool, that's what i was hoping, and thanks for the offer. Not looking for massive bass, just clean, crisp sound with a little more bass, hopefully this will be achieved with the above.

    Headunit and Speaker Advise

I just brought a 2004 182, and it's still got the original headunit, CD changer and speakers. So i'm looking to upgrade and need a little advise, as i've never brought or installed any ICE before. I'm looking at getting a Pioneer DEH-4500BT headunit as i need Bluetooth, USB charging and front...

Thanks for all the advise, I'll double check the rears, I know the front were close to being needed.

Disc and Pads for Road use only

Yeah that setup does seem to be really popular, issue is the pads are £200 f&r thats a massive difference in price, are they really that much better, and worth the extra cost, especially when i'm not going to be taking it to track days. I dont want to spend unnecessarily, but also don't want...

Disc and Pads for Road use only

Hopefully picking up a 182 today, and its going to need new disc and pads before too much longer. I've got no intention of tracking the car in the immediate future, so just looking for a good disc and pad combination for road use. It will be my only car so used for commuting to work in, motorway...

182 Cambelt kit and Auxiliary belt in Nottingham

Thanks for that, I would have joined up at some point anyway, but with that kind of saving i'll be joining up shortly. If the dephaser goes does that mean a new timing belt is also required? as i might as well just get them both done if thats the case.

182 Cambelt kit and Auxiliary belt in Nottingham

Thanks guys, I'll give him a call later today. Is £600 about what I should be expecting to pay?

182 Cambelt kit and Auxiliary belt in Nottingham

First post and hoping for a little help, I've been to look at a 182, that i think i'm going to buy, however it timing belt is well over due a change, so before i can drive it daily i need to get this sorted. Can anyone recommend a good garage in nottingahm that can carry out the work at a decent...
