The whole host has been down all day unfortunately, its not specific to ClioTrophy, other people who i know have sites hosted at the same datacenter are down too :(
I'll let you know when it's back
I've only run the Goodyear F1's on my track wheels, but in comparison with the PE2's on the same day i'd say they were pretty much equally as good for dry grip, although the PE2's make more noise.
On a wet trackday the F1's although still excellent fell short of the grip the PE2's offer. I...
I wouldn't rule it out necessarily, the brake pads could quite easily have been reaching 600C + so the calipers would probably be hotter than anything in your engine bay should be i'd have thought.
The silver hammerite smooth i painted my 172 calipers with were fine day to day, but the heat generated in the brakes on trackdays made the silver turn a bluey gold colour. Wasn't really a problem, i just painted over them again.
Nah, i'm sure they are fine Oms. I just work for the people that used to make the Deskstar drives before they sold the business to Hitachi, and there were a few notorious models. No reason to swap it, was just joking when you said it had been sat there for hours ticking away.
Yep that was me, I did half wave whilst trying not to crash into the car in front :P
Used to pass you quite often on the way home, but dont tend to go that way much now.
Funny how you can go months without anyone spotting you, then I get spotted twice on a 10 minute drive home from work.
Spotted young lady driving a very shiny black 182 reg. H*** BAT on Ryde seafront this afternoon.
Noticed you a few times, you appeared to be doing laps :clown:
I havent got this on the Trophy, but did have it on my mk2 172 and never got it resolved as much as it annoyed me.
Renault did look at it once and told me it was caused by the wiper / indicator stalk assembly and that replacing that would fix it. I think basically its related to the mechanism...
You were going really well, very quick for a 1.2. You didn't hold me up at all, I just decided to ease off on that corner and overtake on the straight. With that bump mid corner i thought it wasn't worth the risk going into it side by side. :D
Pah, can i smell cooked brakes? ;) :rasp:
Check out FastFilms (http://www.fastfilms.co.uk/) I think the guy is a member on here actually. They seem to be about the cheapest ive seen, certainly less than I paid for mine. Kits start at £108 + VAT
The glass on the front of the camera has had a few chips but its only a couple of quid to replace. The actual lense is sat safely behind this so it doesnt get damaged.
Pretty tough things really, its been left on the car for months at a time in all weathers sometimes without any problems.
Well after an evening playing with it, i've gone back to XP :clown:
I know its a beta but jesus it was slow. It also seemed to insist on using cleartype even when i turned it off which i hate with a passion...
I'll come back to it in 6 months time I think.
