£3750 for bodies from us (for a cup, more expensive if you have aircon)
proper tapered individual bodies, not duals
Roamers TB'd 172 did 212bhp* BOLT ON (ie he had NO manifold match etc)
plus he was using a crap exhaust and the 4-1 manifold
i reckon on £4500 all in
*rolling road...
well if a bit breaks off from inside the filter what happens??? you run the risk of buggering your engine IMO
the screw driver method is a bodge, for the sake of £10 for the correct tool, its not worth risking it, do it properly or not at all and all that!!
no he won't he can borrow our bodged 182 OE CAT that i made for Yoz's cup
it fits perfectly between the 182manifold and the 172 race system
i mean do you REALLY think Yoz's cup is gonna pass the emissions test as it is!!!
take off the front drivers side wheel
you'll see the oil filter in front of you (black plastic tube with veins on it)
remove it by twisting anti clock wise
pull out old filter element (i lever it out with a screw driver)
pop in new one, and replace rubber "O" rings
when fitting new filter...
sports CAT is a restriction = bad
you're not following what i mean
182 manifold+link pipe(decat)+172 system = cheap!!
come MOT time
pick up a 2nd hand 182 CAT, trim it down slightly to fit inplace of link pipe
YOU DON'T HAVE TO TOUCH THE MANIFOLD to put the 182 CAT into the 172...
yep i think, the head is based upon the turbo head i believe (same casting, different machining)
mk1 172's have the larger exhaust ports i think
ask BenR
very expensive for their kit, but you are getting a sport CAT
someone should check the price of the manifold from Renault
hum i wonder if Dave @ k-tec has a Greenpeace sticker on his car???? LOL
