    Windows Vista

We get 1 or 2 students every month or 2 with the corruption problem. It does exist. Just need to open the doc in Open Office lol, to recover the data in most cases. In the main though it's much better.

    Windows Vista

Lol at all the Vista haters. There is nothing wrong with Vista for home use which is probably what 95% of people will care about. Seems people don't like change tbh. Its just like the complaints I got at work when we upgraded them from Office 2003 to 2007.

My cup only revs to 7k

Mine seems to keep pulling hard all the way to the limiter tbh. Peak power might have gone but thats not to say there's no power.

    Silver 172/182 Cup Huddersfield

Driving past Tesco Express in Marsh. Looked like a Cup with 182 wheels and a 172 rear bumper with one empty cut out on the left. I was parked in the car park.

    sony viao laptop help

Static can build up in laptops and make them do strange things. Removing all power and holding the power button down for a while gets rid of it. Fried as in the post above:(

Blu-ray starting to gain serious momentum with Dark Knight! (p.s. i'm not Batman)

Blu-ray is definitely getting a lot cheaper now. I just got a £500 laptop with a BR drive in it. Writable drives are down to around the £140 mark now too:eek:

    sony viao laptop help

Sounds like you may have fried it then. Were the vents on the bottom blocked by the bed sheets? If it was the HDD then it would at least turn on. Have you tried the static trick?

    sony viao laptop help

Didn't a lot of the Sony's of arround that age have dodgy batteries? You could try removing the battery and power supply and holding the power button down for 30 sec to remove any static build up. Other than that more info needed.

    dell laptop problem

Have you tried a system restore? It does work sometimes. Otherwise I would backup all your docs in safe mode then reinstall Windows. Get it how you like it with all your software and updates.... Then get hold of a copy of Acronis backup software and create your self an image. Then if it goes...

Why did I do it....... a moment of madness!!

But you probably got it to save money right? If you did then you have a car with all the performance (although in a different way) that you had but cheaper to run. The only way to do that is to get a smaller lighter car which you did and unfortunately because of that you loose some of the...

Why did I do it....... a moment of madness!!

Nah, we all know good and well the V6 takes that claim;) +1, I completely agree with that. It wasn't long ago when I thought a RX8 231 would be quicker than a 1*2 and got told other wise so an ST220.....

Why did I do it....... a moment of madness!!

Sorry but that is not true. I had a good run with one up to 130 beans on the clock on a private runway once and there was nothing in it when I was behind it or when he was behind me. I was very surprised at how similar they were tbh.

+1 Roy about the fuel going from the bottom With the added cost of fuel and time stopping at the station every day I'm not sure that's worth it somehow.:S
