    172 ph1 exhaust

My Powerflow isn't much louder than standard. As above, you just have to tell them you want a quiet one. Was only £250 as well.

    That 5k kick!

I find mine starts to change noticeably around 4k then really kicks in at 5k. Lol at the people saying there is no kick in the 1*2's. That might be the case if your used to driving/going in bigger more powerful turbo cars and the like. But if the Clio is your first experience of a powerful car...

    R26 or R27/Cup??

Would have to be the R26 for me given the choice.

    Sport Quattro...want one!

Amazing cars, only ever seen 1 on the road. As if you would feel like a plank pulling up to work in one. They have a lot of road presence and the fact that it would kill almost anything on the road yet its 20 years old....... I remember going to watch them at the RAC rally back in the day...

    Bye bye back box...

I took it off on mine before it did any damage. Did without for nearly 2 weeks while they could fit me in for the new one. I remember if you went much over 4000 rpm it made my ears bleed practically:S .

    Bye bye back box...

I got a Powerflow stealth from TogGear Burnley. Only £250 after blagging a CS discount. Well worth the trip imo.

    pics of your crashes

Some Woman pulled out in front of me on a 2 lane motorway to avoid hitting the car in front. Was a clio as it happens. Clio came off almost perfect apart from the boot not shutting

Cambelt, worth getting anything else done at the same time?

Just an update for anyone interested:) I have just got home from picking my car up after getting the cambelt done. To say I'm happy is an understatement:D Just got it done for £270 without the water pump because he said it looked as good as new still. Admittedly i got mates rates but...

Why do people still buy factoryfit Satnav?

Also have to agree with dk on this one. But I prefer to use it on my PDA phone compared to a standalone unit. Much smaller than a Tomtom when you take it out of the car. I would say your less likely to leave it in the car in the first place with it being your phone as well.

Did you buy a 3rd party warranty for your RS?

I've said it before and will probably say it again. Have a look at the AA breakdown and repair cover. It isn't bad and only costs as little £105 or so. It covered more than the crappy 1 month one that came with my car. http://www.theaa.com/breakdownrepaircover/terms-conditions.html#parts

Did you give your 1*2 full acceleration in your test drive?

Was that the one that fell to bits and cost you a fortune? I was given the keys and let out on my own on most of the test drives I had. Had to give it some to see what it was like and make sure I chose a quick one. Remember on one test drive the sales man came in the back with my old man...

HELP! 172 Cambelt -jumped a tooth?????

Like said you could get a decent new RS for that money. I think thats why most go for the 1.5k transplant in your shoes. But if you can check the damage yourself then its worth a try.

HELP! 172 Cambelt -jumped a tooth?????

£4500?:S ? From what I've read on here your only looking at around £1500 to replace the engine. If your doing half the work yourself then might be able to fix it for less.

Would your colour of been your first choice?

I must admit I like the glacier white from the pics I've seen. There is a Fiesta ST in the same colour at work and that looks nice too. The White equivalent of iceberg silver

    New Xda

Ah that one, well its meant to be a good pda phone. Although you will find your self charging it daily. The screen is superb quality. Once you have had a smart phone you wont go back.

    Q for the network gurus

Ping "ip address" with -t on the end will work better. It will run a constant ping until you stop it then just scroll up the screen and see how much it dropped out. Its not so good if your time (in ms) goes to much into triple figures all the time either.

Major head ache!!!! Bike rack for the 172

As DrRollo says, use the boot. I have one of these for mine http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=17885 Does a fine job of protecting the interior from scratches and crap.

    PDA's who uses them?

Well if you insist on paying for it. http://www.stuff-uk.net/?s=ST-1C90.062 But if your using what I put above it wont work. You only have 64MB storage (and it resets when the battery goes flat). You would need to get a wired GPS receiver and memory card.
