engine mounts are quite a normal fault, top mounts can fail for many reasons too
don't get ripped off by the garage
its a renault, all part of the fun!!
on a new car under 100K miles, i wouldn't bother
as long as its serviced etc etc
i occasionally put redex through mine, but like once every 10K (i do high milage)
i've fitted several H&R's, and several FK's to 172's
in terms of on road, they're identical, the damping feels the same
(anyone who has had suspension fitted by me, knows about my "test" route!!!)
H&R's are easier to install, but they have limited camber adjustment
where as the FK's...
because it would have no relation what so ever to structural strength
the cup racers do have that type, but they also have a multiple point welded in cage
the B&M's are the same for all clios/5's/meganes
don't expect much from a filter,chip,exhaust (always use a sealed induction kit on the 172 engine) you'll get 185bhp max out of that lot (with CAT still in)
