The offset is stamped on the back of the wheel somewhere, usually either in the centre of the wheel or on the rim What make/model are the wheels???? Are they 7inches wide or 7.5????? if theyre 7.5 then thatll explain the problem!!!! 7.5 is TOO wide!!!!!

Is it lowered????? Sounds like youve got the wrong offset there mate!!! Mine "was" lowered 60mm on 17s and it didnt rub with a full car

Power EngineeringRR day just gone std 172 = 169bhp std 172 = 170bhp 172 with panel filter = 168bhp Roamers 172 = 212bhp Id say Power Engineering Rollers are about the best!!!!

i reckon you can get away with 18s on a 60mm drop (minor rubbing but easily sorted) Changing the shocks isnt needed but they will wear out eventually (after 12months approx)

I used FK automotive coilovers (but i had them made extra low) Phil you need to get 60mm Pi springs minimum if you get 30mm me and tom will come round and shoot you!!!!

It is possible, but its normally found on FWD drag cars in th USA with multi stage nitrous etc i have a piccy somewhere

Power to weight is mental!!!! Not sure id spend 5K+ on the conversion though (would be a real sleeper car!!!!)
