Re: My new car. TTQS
I'm being syphoned of the same money this Friday. New clutch time in the Chavwagen.... :(
Luckily I had the cambelt done only two months ago, so that's one expense out of the way.

Might be worth you nabbing the latest Tomb Raider game, if you haven't already tried it m8? I got it in the Steam Winter Sale but haven't tried it until last night. Even with all the graphics options set to Normal, it's a very, very pretty game to look at. If you've got the hardware to push it...
Re: Im a massive tw*t. Urgent help needed please!!
Yep. ;)
Changed the 182's gearbox oil now four times in its 125k life. Let's face it, its a box containing shafts, gears and plenty of movement. Eventually fine parts of coatings, edgings and teeth will start to float about - increasing the...
Not even a nerdy film-buff bargain imo. WTF?

Yep. People will still clear anyway - the ones who are interested in these tend to upsell themselves to the Golf. A quirky car, which bizarrely to me, makes it more appealing!

Worth a punt m8, for the price of a half-a-tank of juice! ;)

Hmmm - decisions! Might have to postpone this for a short while anyway as the Chavwagen needs a new clutch.
Who knows, the 780's might have dropped in price by then? :)

Chaps,
Looking into a replacement mid-range card in favour of my elderly GTX460s that I have in SLi.
I was looking at around £250-£300 approximately. I'm open to the wise words and advice from the Hardware Sages of CS.
Cheers,

Faster Than Light? Legends - such a shame they were pretty much a one-hit wonder! The follow-up/expansion pack for DM just wasn't as good, imo.
Classics! Got to include Wizball, Beach Head and Raid over Moscow in there too :)
I mentioned it in a post a while back about a track-day I went to...
Only one for me. Wasteland on the C64.
It was unlike anything else I played, sucked most of my free time in my mid-teenage years and created a backdrop that is used in many, many games up to the present day. When I realised that there was a Kickstarter campaign for Wasteland 2 - I pumped £100...
Works with the colour of the alloys and is a bit different. I personally like it. :)
Was Ben's GTi that goldy/orange colour? Remember it being a rapid little s**t on one of the meets - though iirc it had an issue with spitting oil out?

Good review there! I think the above is quite key for me. I don't really pump that much time into my racing games - far less than I should be do actually. So the game itself has to be good to maintain my focus on it.

Sell children/limb/organs/yourself - but get the money for some decent rubber.
You've got one of the most focused and light-weight hot-hatches of the last generation, but you're not putting decent rubber on it? You might as well attempt to play rugby while wearing a pair of stilettos....

It does make a difference. Engine notes of vehicles can be vectored in a lot better - and if you're keeping still, they are a life-saver for hearing the footsteps of people nearby. I've done it several times where on hearing footsteps, a quick glance on the mini-map shows no friendlies, giving...
Lol! Did you do much to the 6, or was it pretty much standard?
Really like the FRS - I'd like to think that that's an itch I'll scratch at some point. I can't help but think I'd miss the 4WD ability in the likes of the Evo, though?
