That's my thinking exactly, Lee. I know I won't have the features of DX10 available to me, but I can cope without those for now.
You haven't got any for sale at your place, have you?

Have you noticed any specific improvement in having the 2nd gfx card in there? Just intrigued as to whether or not it would be worth a Fleabay search for another 7900GTX?
Has anyone used a single card for a bit and then tried an SLi-supported game with the 2nd card running alongside...
I think 172_girl's comment should be added to the sticky thread under common Clio problems. Good one that.

LOL - that's a good idea! We get sh1tloads of those silica gel packs in most of the kit we order. Normally they get thrown in the bin. I may keep a few to one side now...

Re: OEM Licenses
Yep - it was much easier when we were in the 3-year term of the OSL. When we bought out, it was far cheaper, but no it's a pain in the ricker in terms of keeping on top of things. :(

Re: OEM Licenses
That is true - good post.
The fact that the DVD packaging on my OEM WinXP-64 said "Only for authorised sale with a new PC" tended to give the game away, a bit! ;)

If he uses PM, yes he can.
If he intends to wipe all partitions when not in the O/S itself, it's not as easy to use - hence the methodology I said above. If you know what you're doing - then PM is fine - if not, you're asking for trouble.

Reformatting the drive will not remove any partitions. If you're reinstalling WinXP or Win2000 however, it's easy enough to delete them using that, prior to installation.
Failing that, bung FDISK onto a bootable floppy and run that.
Good 'ol DOS-based features - they never fail! ;)

It's actually quite easy-going on the hardware, so long as you turn the detail down. I had it running on the works laptop and it didn't play too bad. When you start to tick options like hi-res dashboards (which needs a 256MB gfx card, iirc) hi-detail wheels, car livery, etc - then it does sap...

Yep, a good five hours since we got back from a blast over to Bakewell and my ears are still buzzing. It's the first chance I've had this week to be a co-pilot in the Vee since its Quicksilver back-box transplant, last...
It could have been superb, but daft in-game targeting just makes success far too random. I accept that there are many factors in this - crap aiming by me, 'net lag, better opposition, even luck - but little seems consistent in the game.
To be owned map after map, I'd hold my hands up and simply...
Shame to hear that such a brilliant example of a Clio is being sold on. I just hope the new owner treats it with the respect it deserves.
Last I saw of it, was biting at the heels of the lead pack on the NW Wales run (before I got lost!). Sounded awesome, and I know the majority of those...
Is the concept of a supercharged diesel, quite pointless?
I can see the benefits of turbo'ing a diesel, but with a supercharger's inherent low-down power delivery, would that just be silly on a diesel anyway?
I read in Evo that someone said that Mazda had done a supercharged diesel 626 some...
Simple - switch that 110% useless hibernation feature off! :)
Control Panel -> Power Options -> Hibernate tab -> Untick Enable hibernation button.
You use a PC or you don't. Why such pointless turd is put into an O/S is beyond me.
**** - when did you get the 182, Cyber?! ****

I'll deffo pick it up if I see it around that price. :approve:
As I said before about this game, I just wish it was an official licenced game of the BTCC rather than WTCC. Guess the bean-counters wanted it to appeal to a larger number of countries though.
