Had one of our work's domain names registered with them. They were fine for years until we wanted to move it. You'd have more luck stealing the Qu'ran off a suicide bomber than get them to hand the domain name over.
Got it sorted eventually, but it was hardly a smooth process.

wozzaa - switched to 64-bit and it still did the same. :( Messed with a few more options and unticking the 'Hardware 3D' tab makes it work fine.
Unfortunately, I bet unticking that box have transferred a fair bit of work back to the CPU instead of letting the X-Fi handle it all. Oh well - I...
That's what I did Rich first off. Never again. The next claying it gets will be with Quick Detailer alone. Mind you, the highly intelligent move from me to clay it in the sunshine, hardly helped. :dapprove:

Bit bizarre that. I haven't got EP1, so I don't know that bit that you are at. It actually looks more like a game issue rather than a gfx one to me. As if the scenery hasn't updated into cache at that point in the game.
As Roy says, have you got the latest gfx drivers installed?

If you're into doing graphics, I'd suggest to keep an eye out on the nVidia Quadro cards. Unlike the other nVidia cards that are focused on games - these are aimed at CAD and animation work.

Horrendously expensive from new, but you maybe able to pick...
Fair point Roy. But we handle 190+ PCs here with multiple configs and different requirements on each. It's far easier to start with a clean slate (just the O/S specific to that machine) and then install the specific apps afterwards than to juggle different images files.
On top of that - you...
The weird sh1t thing about GTR2 (maybe just the demo though?) is that it doesn't have a default FF profile for the Microsoft Sidewinder wheel. Logitech's mentioned a fair bit, but not the MS device. A bit strange as it was available in both GTR and GTL.

Are you able to do a reformat? Personally, I'd never waste hours on an issue like that. A clean (and much faster) XP O/S can be reinstalled in around 45mins flat. Ok, you need to reinstall any of your apps after that, but it really is worth it, imo.
I never, ever bother with restore points or...
It's just experience of the 182 itself - which clearly he'll pick up over time. You have to be so right on the gears and revs to make the most of it.
I nearly got embarrassed the other day joining the M66 with Tarquin/Clarence/Piers sat on my bumper in his baby-blue MCS. I didn't even see him...
I think GTR and GTL need a wheel to be played properly. I've got the veteran Microsoft Sidewinder FF USB wheel - cracking device even if it is years old now.... ;)

Definitely worth it, imo...
They look the nuts. I can't imagine ever having a car without them now. Nothing better than when they come on automatically and you see that blue, whitish light reflecting off the car in front.

Actually wozzaa - you've got a good point there. I've still got the SATA drive in there with the XP64 OS on. I could try installing it on that and see if it works? I put everything back to default settings in BIOS last night and tried it again. Still popping and crackling. I've also checked for...
I still can't make myself like the 197. I've seen a few on the road now and I much prefer the appearance of my 182. It looks too high for one, but the real dislike comes from the front view. The lights look bad and the front wings just too high. When I see this.....
I immediately...
Well, since buying my 182 from new in December 2004, I broke the 20,000 mile barrier today. The car itself has been faultless. It's not used a drop of oil, it's mpg is slowly but surely increasing and it still puts a smile on my face when I give it some beans.
Minor niggles include a few...

Good clip. The Lotus clearly gets battered on the straights, but look how long the braking is left, going into the corners. Nearly (very nearly) comes into contact with the rear quarter of an F40. I'm sure the owner would have...
