Im thinking of changing the colour of my engine cover/brace, im thinking maybe CF cover with black samco hose?? Any other ideas, dont really want to paint the brace if i can help it? Maybe paint it Modial blue to match the samco hose? How it is at the moment:

Yeah il have to invest in some SRP as iv run out, is it best to start off with that and then work up to using Mezerma and the posh Meguires stuff??

Yeah that will be brilliant mate. I have a feeling this could be the way forward for all my cars now as iv seen some results of machine polished cars combined against my best efforts by hand at the weekend and they are far better!!

My step dad has a 180bhp 1.8T TT and I just pull away from it in a straight line and my 172 made 161.9hp on the rolling road yesterday so the weight kills the TTs performance!!!

Im thinking of getting one as Im really getting into the whole detailing thing. Are they worth it and what ones to go for?? Can you use ordinary megs/autoglym polish and waxes with them or is it best to go for the good stuff??

You should find once the oil is changed and maybe the plugs if you havent done that recently that should make the car run a bit better? Could be worse my mate that run his 182 with a simota air filter yesterday made 140bhp on his first run and 166bhp with no airbox on the second run!!!! Check...

Iv just changed to a panel filter and combined with matched inlets and no accoustic valve it def pulls harder than with an induction kit, just doesnt sound as good!!!

Does anybody have any pics of silver 172s or 182s with painted bullets. Im going to do mine at the weekend but a little unsure of what colour to do them yet. My first choice was going to be Ford Graphite Grey or something similar to match the anthracite wheels but any other pics or suggestions...

Na i dont fancy a cage i want it usable. I dont think the blue & red theme looks to bad at the moment so il see how it goes. Im working on improving the performance at the moment rather than cosmetics then il decide what to do ;) lol
