No i did check that. The 12V line which switches on only switches on when the headunit becomes active (the 1st click on the ignition barrel) Ive got a new amp to try to see if the current is to large so ill have to see how its goes.

Basically it seems like the amp is causing the problem. As soon as i mess with that the whole car dies. Unless the AMP is faulty and causing a short circuit. The battery was just a stab in the dark, just to see. So there seems to be underlying problems on this clio. Fantastic. Any solutions...

Im thinking it may be the battery not holding enough power. Would the problem be caused by the AMP and the car trying to start at the same time? Would that be easily fixed with a new more powerful battery?

Im wanting rear speakers, not door speakers. My dash speakers are fine, maybe ill cut the doors as a later mod, but not for now. Cheers for letting me know they are in the door card. The rear speakers are more important to me than the side door speakers. I want SURROUNDDDDDD sound :P

I still didnt find them at all. I decided just to strip the wire at the iso, then solder it. Now i have 4 speakers. Two in the dash, and two in the rear just before the parcel shelf. I would love to know where the speaker wire goes as i still cant trace it or find it.

Hello fellow members. My mk1 phase 3 clio 1.2l seems to be really odd. The oil level is sitting at min even after putting 1l of oil into the engine. I dont like the fact it took 1l to just read minimum. How low/high should i top this up to? Thanks.

What clio is it? I noticed mine was doing this, after i changed oil and mince. After a good blast of revs and when you start up the car push the clutch in to take the strain off the gearbox.

Yes you can dasiychain, but you will require a bigger load power cable and it can cause problems. Altough it is one cable, just make it a higher ampage than the two amps and it should be perfectly fine.

What about the side panel holders?

Mine is the R reg biarritz it has central locking. It locks the doors and opens the doors. Also it will have an imobiliser. Does your key have a click button in the centre? Press that and you will notice the doors open and unlock :) It also switches off the imobiliser

You could wire them to the Side lights and headlight switch, so you would only have them on in the dark.

You can earth wrongly. Such as near a item which could be affected by earthing. Ive looked again, but its a bi*** t see. Just find another earth and latch it onto there. Simple.

Sorry for taking so long. The earth seems to be located at the font of the car. Its a really odd one. Im sure im at the wrong section, but i cant tell due to i was taking a look in the dark. You could just earth it to the side of the car near the arches as it will be earth all the time.
