Mk1 Clio Oil Level

Hello fellow members.
My mk1 phase 3 clio 1.2l seems to be really odd. The oil level is sitting at min even after putting 1l of oil into the engine. I dont like the fact it took 1l to just read minimum.

How low/high should i top this up to?

The difference between the min and max lines on your car, i think, is 1.5 litres.
