    Applying C4 to arches

Decent quality make up pads Jon. The S3 has it on at the moment. Arches are still clean from 4 months ago. Body work, springs and shocks are wearing FK with no yellowing... Maybe put it on too thick? It doesn't work on tyres that well, sadly!

Been asked to be a BWAB

The simple answer is that I wanted to meet more of the CS lot, which I managed to do with offering it as a service to club members. However, I knew from dealing with Aston and a few others that I would immediately want to cover myself. Doing cars for friends and family is one thing. For...

    AG High Definition Wax

QD rather sealant would probably have been the right phrase, but who's splitting hairs... Tried this and for an entry level wax it really is perfectly acceptable. More than that actually. Still a fan of the Nattys though!

A decent wipe down with IPA will suffice, so wash, dry, clay, wash, dry, polish, IPA wipe down to remove filling oils, C2. The point Dave made was that all Last Stage Products last infinitely longer if the surface is optimum for their bonds. So a wipe down with IPA will remove polish and oils...

    Headlight restoration kit

Fair that you are talking from previous experience, but so am I. The experience of "I read this thread, followed it and now have knackered X". The furring that occurs on Clio headlamps is very very light. Therefore, anything other than starting out with 2000 is un-necessary (based on doing 19...

A more in depth answer from Dave, as per these days ;) As above Tom. Due to lacking time and space for detailing these days, C2 really is a god send.

    Removing Wax layers

G101 at 4:1 removed delivery wax on dad's R8 to my surprise, still swear by it. H'email.

    Headlight restoration kit

Faith has nothing to do with it. You're still wrong in a number of respects. Firstly, the grade used there is 800, granted. But did you see the state of the lights? Secondly, it's used by an air pressure rotary drill. So will be a more evenly prepped surface. Have you wet sanded by machine and...

    Removing Wax layers

We're talking car paint, not the wax on your legs sweety.

    Removing Wax layers

Clay and cleansers will remove wax. Granted. But not in hard to reach areas. Therefore as someone has suggested, a soak down/snow foam of decent strength APC will clear previous layers. G101 is an excellent example of such.

P1 is a polish. You don't apply it, rather work it as you would a polish. I've used it only a handful of times and like it by hand. Yet to try it by machine as I don't have my kit in London. C2 is epic. Spray on a panel at a time and buff off. That's it. Also works well on plastics, glass...

    Yet another headlight thread

I wouldn't have mentioned G3 as I hate the stuff. But on headlights it's not so bad I guess. Personally I would be looking at 2000 then 3000 grit wet and dry. Then polish up using scratch x or menz IP3.02 or 203s.

But Roy, I am irrational. A lot of people are in their own little way. I see swirls in my bathroom sink and think I need a new one. I used rainx on my shower so the water beads off it and I don't have to see lime scale deposits... I have no qualms with people thinking I'm weird. I came to...
