There are a multitude of products out there for this purpose. AutoGlym Engine and Machine Cleaner if you're a Halfords shopper, Meguirars All Purpose Cleaner, G101 from Autosmart and a number of others are also available.
As above really, common sense prevails. Cover electrical parts and do not...
Lol, not surprised. Buddy I did the same when I first got the PC years ago. Spent three days over Xmas in the garage. Came out high from the fumes the EGP gave off! The Clio had never been so clean!
No worries.
Personal preference plays a large part in detailing, as does experience. Don't change something that works for you, but it is sometimes nice to try new products.
Lol Gray, you would. You should see customers' eyes light up when the snow foam comes into action!
Pre foaming is ... fun. Not sure how much it really helps, over a good blasting with the pressure washer. But hey ho, it doesn't cost that much and every little helps!
Swirls are inevitable. Just a fact of life. The only way to avoid them is to foam, pressure wash off, then blow dry. But that won't clean your car!
You can do a number of extra things;
Use grit guards - means you're not swirling dirty, gritty water onto the wash mitt when you "dip"
Sheet...
As this man says really, you can't go wrong with the Megs kit. By the sounds of it you tend to shop in Halfords? The kit is available there and contains all you need. The only thing I can suggest thus far is to build your stores, bit by bit. So get your wash routine down, then thinking about...
If it's plastic, 303 Aerospace protectant is a good idea. Depends how far you want to go, as with all these detailing questions! What's your budget buddy? Something like GTechniq C4 will be a permanent solution for any plastics.
If it's painted, same as normal paint work chap :)
Not required. There were some results published years ago about that. 6 hours was about the optimum IIRC. Safe assumption though Toby, so you're not exactly wrong!
Re the diffuser, what is it actually made out of?
I would be worried about what ever was used to clean it, was still on the brush when I come to touch my wheels again. Always, therefore, buy a new one :( Happened to me two/three weeks ago as well.
TBH John I typed in ONR into Google. The video may therefore not be the best. I would use ONR if there was no water source available. As said, detailers worth talking about (Russ, Jim White etc) use it when they really need to.
I would personally rather take sealable buckets in the boot of the...
Most shampoos are designed not to strip wax. If you have issues with waxes/sealents, use something like Chem Guys Citrus Wash as this will strip the wax off, leaving you with a clean surface to start again.
Eax wise, R222 is perfectly acceptable, as is Natty's Blue. Depends on budget. Super...
If Markie can't be arsed to talk about ONR, then I certainly can't. . .
But hey ho - ONR or Optimum No Rinse is a waterless wash product. It works (apparantly) and is very good for shows. A lot of detailers (and by detailers I mean well known and trusted detailers, not people who have a DA) use...
As above really, there are quite a few hobbiests on here. Worth a look on DW as well as they will be able to point you in the direction of someone I'm sure.
If not, might be worth asking a mod to change the title to "someone to PC my car in LOCATION".
Hi.
So this tiny wee bottle should be arriving soon. Yes I know it's a trim restorer, but thinking outside of the box (but inside of the wheel) - has anyone used it on their plastic arch liners yet?
And if not, why not?

Re: The original & the worst since 2004, well every other sods cleaned this weekend..
Can a mod change the title to Original and Best? As it still is in my mind.
Loves it Naith, as you know.
