Someone able to give my shopping list a once over?

Ordered my lakeland ones ages ago, still like them but going to try the 3m for porsche detail coming up in a couple of weeks.

    Where do I start??

Hai faive team. AS Paul has said Laura, you are best of with the SRP EGP combo. You could pay anything from 85-200 quid for paint correction and even more for a full detail. So up to you :)

    Where do I start??

Been detailing non stop over the weekend ya ghey, showed the pic to Naith, he said it looks like someone from Salford has been round (lack of wheels) ;) Edit; didn't know you were up, Paul ;)

    Where do I start??

Lol @ the equation. Good times = seeing Jamie at FCS. Cannot wait to see the bears.

    Where do I start??

No point in doing it yourself Laura. I would get someone who is close geographically to do it. Like Luke. Hai x

    Where do I start??

Stop whoring yourself out Luke ;) As that man has said, Laura, only way to getting looking special is to have a full detail. This will not just be good for FCS, but for the rest of this year and well into the next. Jamie

Someone able to give my shopping list a once over?

Very controversial, Jonny ;) In all honesty, the snow foam is only of use if your is highly waxed and water all beads off. Thus the dust doesn't stick and the snow foam/power hose gets it all off with not a lot of need for scrubbing :)

Someone able to give my shopping list a once over?

I was about to suggest the same Dan. Russ, good list. Quick point. I don't like SFX pads, as I feel for the money there are better (lakeland county). Also what polishes are you going for? Jamie

    Another newbie to detailing

Reading this through again Jon, are you still intent on using the Moto buffer thing?

    Another newbie to detailing

Would rather you ask than cause your car damage Jon. You should do a two stage polish if you are machine polishing mate. It is almost a waste of product and your time to just do one. You need to cut then buff to a finish as most cutting compounds are quite harsh and do not leave a glossy...

    Going from orbital to rotory.

I will be keeping both, Luke mate. I feel that for mine, the PC is just fine and buzzes through the marks (or lack there of!) in seconds. Rotary will be for the next purchase ;)

Like wheels, Andy, one good clean means soapy water there after.

    Going from orbital to rotory.

Sorry Matt, you are right, I had made the assumption it was a typo from the member off here. I was hoping that either yourself or CYC would come back. Personal opinions from yourself on Kestrel vs Silverstorm please?

    Going from orbital to rotory.

Luke, bumping this due to a recent email from a customer off here. I have the option on one of these; http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing/polishing-machine/silverline-39-silverstorm-39-rotary-polisher/prod_513.html I don't use a rotary but have always thought of upgrading for certain...

Don't forget to protect the paintwork afterwards with the EGP as above fella. All the best with it.

Bringing paintwork back to life - RB 182

In that case, Super Resin Polish is your best bet. Very easy to apply and take off. It does contain fillers so will make the paint work look very good and fill some of the scratches making the paint work look a little dull.

Nine for me. Fantastic photo, very very good. Can we ask who submitted each, or is this going to affect who some people vote for?

Bringing paintwork back to life - RB 182

Depends what you want to achieve Dave. There are several options open to you. You can hand polish with something simple like Auto Glym Super Resin Polish (available in any Halfords etc). This will make the car look a lot better, but will not last that long (make sure that you seal the paint...
