    FAO JD/AR/RussZS etc: Autosmart G101

As Scottish has said, can't add much! I would certainly not be using it on the interior as I would be worried about staining/dulling interior materials. The key thing, with wheels, is that once they are clean, you need to protect them. Best case scenario is; Wash with something like AG...

The All American Car Wash! LOAD OF WAN*K!

Luckily the majority of paint marring, such as this, is actually quite easy to correct, once you have the right cutting polish and pads. I will be having a look at this once we both have time to meet up and I will post up a full thread on the correction, if Tim is prepared to trust any detailer...

    Claying nightmare!!

Pretty much all answers I would have put. But with one question. You say the paint is the same as before, what are you looking to achieve? You realise, of course, that it is design to remove microscopic dirt and tar spots, not correct swirl marks? Jamie

The All American Car Wash! LOAD OF WAN*K!

Standard rates for Clios are £85 for paint correction (about 8-10 hours work) or £150 for a full detail (more like 16 hours work as it includes wheels off etc). I should be mate, got a couple of offers of rooms. That sounds wrong! Be good to meet you pal! Tim, received the photos on my...

The All American Car Wash! LOAD OF WAN*K!

Sadly, these people aim at gents like Tim that are not going to know any better and therefore are willing to pay them good, hard earned, cash for what should be a relatively good service. In all honesty, it makes me sick. Edit; just to cover myself, there may have been an issue somewhere with...

I heard the LY looked like that, after one of your "pre-detailing bug" washes, Paul ;)

Data recovery, external hard disks, know how required

Hi guys and girls, one for those that have experienced this before and know good places to get this sorted. I have two Maxtor external HDD. Both broke within about 6 months of ownership (second was a replacement for the first, straight from Maxtor Europe, so now on my third replacement )...

The All American Car Wash! LOAD OF WAN*K!

Of course lad, not a problem at all. Best bet is if you send me some photos before you come up and I can judge what needs doing and let you know. If the whole car is like that then it will require a machine polish (about a day's work) so can book you in chap. Have fun in Cornwall, especially...

The All American Car Wash! LOAD OF WAN*K!

Oh and Tim, 50 quid is at least half, if not a quarter what you should be paying for this type of service, hence the problems sadly mate :(

The All American Car Wash! LOAD OF WAN*K!

Tim if you are willing to bob up here (alderley edge/wilmslow) I will have a look at it and see what I can do with my Machine Polisher.

Got a link? Best bet is to go and tell them. See their reaction. If nothing comes of it report them to trading standards. They have insurance etc.

Converting fog lights to side lights?

Very much agree chap, but as you have said, really don't think it is worth the hassle.

Indeed. What were the reasons behind it, not being particularly up on this sort of thing? I know that carbon/corrosion is less likely due to it's non reactive features + will be extra resilient to bashing. . . ?

    Detailing Brushes

TBH Andy mate, the amounts I charge are really low in comp to others on here, but it is such a joy to spend a day doing something I really enjoy and see the smiles when leaving. The cash is mainly for the future surgery that will be required with my current back problems!

    RS tuning Leeds

It wouldn't surprise me, if he could see reason to, Paul knows his stuff so the price would not have been the deciding factor, function over form for that man.
