found a casualty from Bedford, alternator mount totalled :( and picked up some more shiny bits to fit, oreca wrap arounds with TRS 3" harness' in red and PMS shifter kit to try to get to fit a mk1

This was throttle bodied and cammed believe me. It would hardly idle at all and was spitting flames all day :)

Update Well, been utterly useless at keeping this up to date but safe to say the countdown to Bedford finished and I made the day no problems. The weeks leading up to Bedford I had some more things coated to continue the green on red theme. Painted up my callipers red and fitted CL RC5+ pads...

just checked from the previous owners of my 182 (the LSD box is in my mk1 track car) and mines never had a clutch, '04 plate and 124k on it now.

yeah the clutches last forever but just get heavier and heavier I also have a phase 2 box with speedo and a quaife in it :)

fair point, that's really what I meant, the service interval is half that of the cambelt but people presume its the same, hence issues

the aux belt should of been done with the cambelt really, if its not listed as being done with it I'd get it to a specialist for a check over asap to be safe, the aux belt system is the weak point on these cars

oh I'm all for lairy colours, just for some reason imo its look a bit s**t on looms. coolant pipes, covers and engine components all good, but the loom, keep it black!

keep it black chap, looms are supposed to be black so leave as is imo :)

not sure how the ones you bought could be wrong, as far as I was aware you either have flat, radius or taper seats and a taper seat is standard at 60 degrees.
