I'd forget the mechanic tbh, get a new battery for it anyway as the chances are the dude is going to want to charge you more for it then a shop would. Also remember, if you have the standard HU (radio) in the car you'll need the code to put in when you change the battery. Pmsl !!

Both my keys are identical. I have the key & the plip bit separate. They are totally different to a 172 where you press the plip on the key, as the key for a vee is just a key.

Mainly very early press cars I think, they had the reg X*** OPC.

There are slight variations of every colour, not just on renaults. If you go to a proper car paint shop they'll give you swatch of the colour, you then match one of the swatches to the car.

I saw an all black one on saturday in portsmouth, such a nice car.

3" a 4" one will look a bit barry imo.

He's been trying to sell that since about 2002 !
