As far as I am aware the gap is when you translate the track from a media to MP3. As staed you can set the gap to zero and you will have a continuous play.
I do not think it is a function of the head unit.
I know this applies to my Kenwood unit.

Having difficult with the amount of space required for all the cables. Renault head unit Iso connections go vertical, where as my Kenwood gpoes horizsontal.
