    I was looking few months back for a 182 for a friend, reasonable millage, with belts done, good condition, only acceptable mod was exhaust, really was hardly any about, Most nearer £5k TBH.

    Running cost of a 1*2 for a year should always be. Service- £150ish mot- £40? Tax- £235 Fuel ££££ Then whatever wears out/breaks.

    Is this the one with the whining gearbox, heater stuck on and knacker wheel bearings? I still maintain a good 182 with full history is £4.5k.

    I actually prefer the way my 172 drove, engine seamed to "flow" more, 182 is more jerky, hard to explain.

    I also think you don't need any, I never bother. Not had any issues.

    Why do you need grease on the pads and sliders? Mne never had. And the stub axels for the rear discs didn't either.
