    brake not break It's easy, take the wheel off and look at the pads/caliper, if it's not obvious what you need to do, go to a garage. Or buy a haynes manual.

    Yeah Birchdown or BTM, unless Renault are going to fix it for free, but even then i'd rather go to a specialist.

    They shouldn't break, but no idea if a extended warranty would cover them, but i'd expect it fixed on a car less than 3 years old. Just buy a jubilee clip for like a £1 and wack that on.

    I assume you've noticed your f**ked CV joint boot? The rusty bits that are breaking off are just bits of rust that have built up because the pad is not touching the brake disc.

    There is a guide on how to fix it in the guides section. My 172 was really bad for it, i replaced the cable, just put up with it in the end.

    seriously pedal creaking in pressing/releasing when warm is quite common. idle is crap and lumpy on them creaking when turning is normal.

    Bonnet alarm is bottom right of the engine, not in the centre.
