    Tom's Meg 225 - The Clio Replacement

Did a track day earlier in the month. Killed the standard discs with the DS3000 so for next year I'll get some DS1.11 and 330mm discs. Other things to do are get a R26 RARB setup and adapt it to fit the 225 beam, sort out the missing power. Also consider getting some extra wheels are road...

    The worst Nurburgring driver ever?

Shouldn't be driving like that under yellows, complete disdain for everyone else on the track.

TRACK TROPHY 381 – PROGRESS TO DATE

At knockhill I'd go for a gripper. Still keep drive if you lift a front wheel and you can get the 4.58 final drive which is pretty much spot on with the shorter 5th gear as well. Considering the mileage and type of use I'd go for a gripper for that reason too. I like quaife diffs but I do a...

    Supercharger help

Haven't seen one done. I have seen a Mercedes M62 Eaton charger fitted. That made 230bhp and about 200lbft on low boost.

How are you getting on with the XP8? I was considering them or the XP10 along with Ferodo DSUNO.

    Tom's Meg 225 - The Clio Replacement

And maybe not just me either. It picks up a bit quicker and drops off sooner than a hybrid should. And this is at 17psi A hybrid makes more power and torque than that at 12psi

    Tom's Meg 225 - The Clio Replacement

Looks like it's still running stage 1 with mods (decat, exhaust, filter) Next steps are to inspect the turbo as it should be a hybrid.

You can get throttle bodies for around £700 for a good condition used set and then EFI Parts in Runcorn fit and map an Adaptronic ECU for £1100 If you ever need anything doing I'm only in Llandudno

Gripper with a shorter final (4.58 I think), poly windows and a spray finish paint job all sound good ;)

    Tom's Meg 225 - The Clio Replacement

Got this to replace the paper filter that is currently fitted and I'm booked it for a power run on Friday at Group B Motorsport. Hopefully it'll make what it's supposed to be running!

    Driveshaft surcharge / disposal.

They won't give you money for it. The surcharge is a refund you get back after buying one from them.

    Track phase 182

Links are found on people's profile pages.http://www.cliosport.net/threads/itbd-road-track-ph1-titanium-172.682060/ No I've sold everything really, might have the odd little bit left over but I haven't got the time to sort things at the moment.

    Track phase 182

Have a look through my progress thread. You need to take it off the corners like in my photos. You don't need to machine the mating faces at all.

    Track phase 182

You could get away with 20mm spacers I think and a bit more off the callipers as I tried a F1 for clearance when @Phase1sr was going to fit some Brembos on his Ph1. They're my old brakes although there were no issues with the nipples when I had them.

    Tom's Meg 225 - The Clio Replacement

With the next trackday at Oulton Park being 4 weeks away and the engine mounts feeling a bit loose I bought these They worked out about the same price as new mounts with powerflex inserts and I liked the vibratechnics mounts on the Clio so thought I'd give them a go. Also bought a set of...

My new racecar project (Icemans old shell)

Wish I had the spare cash, save building my own for racing! Good luck with the sale and look forward to seeing the next one.

    Clio number 10 I think?

I'd have put this up for sale rather than the RB, still a nice looking car though. I keep debating getting a standard one as a work hack now I do less mileage. I miss the Ph1!

TRACK TROPHY 381 – PROGRESS TO DATE

I would go for the brembos and run Ferodo DSUNO pads. They'll offer you braking as good as RC6 pads with standard callipers but with more modulation and longer disc and pad life. Plus you'll save nearly 10kg over the standard discs and callipers.

    Tom's Meg 225 - The Clio Replacement

Been driving it a fair bit since changing the Itg filter for the V6 airbox and it feels much smoother to drive from idle all the way to the redline. I always felt like it ran a bit too rich and since changing the filter it doesn't seem to, possibly why it's now smoother and the exhaust doesn't...
