Looking at getting rid of the wife's car and my Ph1 for one of these. I know ktec have an exhaust and filter available and an intercooler in the works. What is there in terms of decats and remaps?

I suppose doing it that way you could modify it for a bit of caster at the same time.

Trumpets on V engines can curve at an angle for bonnet clearance but they curve from round to oval, they don't stay round through the bend.

So if you take trumpet length out of the equation. How long are the DTH and how long are the SF + MR23 manifold?

Just a sensible exhaust would sort it. And a sports cat. It's going to be loud with itbs, no cat and a single silencer.

It was going well and sounded great. You think it was as fast as the Fiesta? The Clio didn't feel as quick as my old one, but when my passenger is 18 stone it doesn't help!

Re: E36 v2 Very interesting! Didn't realise the inlet/map made that much difference. After seeing it out on Saturday I'm very impressed. It seems so composed as well.

I've got AST top mounts and can't tell a difference in ride quality between them and standard. But I still have standard (albeit new) wishbone bushes.

As Chip said. The 421 is on the limits of the standard springs. For cams bigger than 421 where you need uprated springs, rather than get Cat or Supertech you could fit the 197/200 valve springs as long as they are within the spec required by the cams.

A clean shear failure like that would be a bad spring, possibly a material defect. I assume they aren't that old. And are specified for use with the cams you have fitted. I would not be happy with Catcams.
