Mk1 Golf in brief so far

Good job so far, I really like it. (Fast progress too (now)). It's a real shame about the wing though, I hate paint getting ruined.

    Hole in my engine!?!

I'd be straight on the phone to Renault UK, explain that you were giving the car an oil check or whatever and noticed this. State that the last people to touch the car were Renault, send them the pictures and see what you get back.

I'm 99% sure I have one fog and the connecting loom in my garage mate if you want to cover postage? If you get stuck, don't hesitate to drop me a PM.

    Fitting Fog lamps (MK2 PH1)

Right, I'm still looking but I think you need the following.... Battery connection/add on piece (much like you get with a sub) In line 15amp fuse (halfords, about 3£) Some decentish wire Suitably sized spade connectors The connecting loom for the two fogs (this is just a wire that goes between...

    Fitting Fog lamps (MK2 PH1)

Hi mate, I know I've posted a few times and explained exactly how I did it, but I can't seem to remember off the cuff now. There was no relay used, just three wires I, and an inline fuse. I'm searching my old posts now for you, hopefully jog my memory. Personally my switch only lit up when you...

    Fitting Fog lamps (MK2 PH1)

You can hard wire them, straight to the battery, I did this and had a separate switch in the panel where the headlight adjustment is. You can search posts by me regarding to fog lights and you'll find it eventually, I've explained it in full somewhere.

iceberg - new coilovers n cup spoiler

Nice height, badges need a bit of silver if they're going to stay like that, but the exhaust looks too short??

    www.danfreemanphotography - version 3!

I'd personally bring the image size down a little, as IMO it's not really to have them THAT big (you'd be better off with a "click for full RES version" button somewhere. You can still appreciate they're amazing images when they're smaller. I'm on 40mb here and it's not as quick as I'd like.

How much to make this a decent Ph1?

I'd be looking for something a little less done than that, as you'll only end up changing parts for bits you like better, almost in the middle of that and standard. If I see anything come up I'll give you a shout.

    For all the Inferno haters.

It's a great colour that's for sure, but I've never seen one look as bright as some of you lot manage! Maybe the ones around here are just unloved?

    The PINK has gone !!

Good job, just get some tyre shine on there (can't believe I'm saying that)

    Painted calipers.... Looks terrible

I wouldn't worry tbh, but if you want a better finish, it's time to get the sand paper out and have a lot of patience.

Metallic whine between 4000-4500rpm, whats the cause you reckon?

That's exactly what needs a bolt in it, PM Danny at 519 on here and ask him what size bolt as he put one in mine and fixed the problem is about 30 seconds.

Metallic whine between 4000-4500rpm, whats the cause you reckon?

Mine was the metal alternator bracket, where it bolts to the engine.

    Ph1 Exclusive - H8teerrzz Gunna Hate!

It's because they're like rocking horse shite! I'd give a testicle for a set.
  27. Rob

Yeah, it's gold. And it smells of warm horse sperm.

You look like a 90 year old man, stooped right over, driving that thing! LOL! Get y0 gangsta lean on. P.s - I must confess, I think the wing is ruining it a bit. If he either a) drew on the gold, or b) drew on the white with a gold paint pen, maybe. Is it much to insure?

    Ph1 Exclusive - H8teerrzz Gunna Hate!

Silver wheels are a must, but apart from that it's awesome. Great spoiler too, a really rare mod on ph1's. Oh, and I assure you - a month with the ph2 bumper and you'll put the ph1 one back on, it looks much better, unless you do the boot lid too....

What a great read, and a massive disappointment by KTEC. Hope it continues to keep you happy and not abuse your wallet too much more. Oh and you'd be surprised on the aircon power increase!
