yep, butterfly is impressive!

This lens is pretty much attached to my camera all the time now, although i sometime wish it was quicker and could zoom a little more! Some shots are straight off the camera, some have had the full treatment as you will see...

looks good, but like my crumpler, its too small for more than one other lens tbh

I didn't say that, manual on the d40 is fun for a short time, but i wouldn't go back after having auto focus with the d50

d80 is probly overkill for beginner, but go for it if you can afford it. D40/50/70 is probly better and will cost between £200-£300 + extra for other lenses.

its surprisingly easy if you take your time, but can be a real pain!

E-510 does exposure bracketing, however you can do HDR on ANY photo by creating 3 exposures and generating the HDR image through something like Photomatix.

some nice pics there, i especially like the one with the grey horse rider number 45. I would look to user a slower shutter speed to get some background blurring to get a sense of speed. Looks like the D40 suits the 18-200 very well though, pictures are very sharp!

If i were you I'd buy a 1.4 teleconverter (280mm) and a 10-20mm.

I think you'll be struggling for that money. 70-300mm VR?

that won't auto focus on the d40, you need the hsm version, although i didn't know they made one

really stunning, you must be dead proud. lovely seats too, but i think the car sits better on the original wheels though
