Hey all,
a few of the clios got together on sunday here in Cape Town for a shoot on the cable way drive and just opened them up and was pleasantly surprised how they came out uneditied.
Anyway, its going to take a while to edit them all, so thought I would post a few unedited shots for...
Ah cool. I'll see if I can source one, but there are none in SA at the moment, so will have to look elsewhere
I think with the jenvey one, you have to run standalone management or get rstuning to remap the ecu, bit of an expensive option :(
ye sticky is the right word I guess. Revs are not consistant on idle and keep getting stuck and I have to blip the throttle to get them to drop down. I did give it a clean and probably not the correct lube, but on close inspection of the tb, it seems like the butterfly is getting caught or stuck...
thanks dude :)
They make one for the ph1's? got a link?
Ye, but I'm worried about buying a secondhand one and it not working or becoming faulty quickly
Thanks dudes
Hey guys, looks like I am going to need a new one of these.
Renault here are asking for +- £230 and a 21 day wait to get it from france.
I dont have the option of using the scrappers as there are about 20 of these cars in the country.
If anyone can organise or even tell me where I can...
K its super clean at the moment, made sure of that when I followed that same guide it, so will get hold of some white grease and get it in there and hopefully, it sort my problem out.. thanks man
Haha, I wish I had the luxury of scrappers. There have probably been about 10 sports in my province ever, so scrappers is never really an option, its either fix it or buy new, and normally wait 21 day min for it to arrive from france thru dealers.
Do you by any chance have the part numbers...
Ah ok, thats a pretty good way to see if its leaking thanks :)
I have cleaned the TB so not really sure what I should look out for on the cable.. signs of wear?
Damn, new TB is going to cost a fortune. Would that be an air leak on the intake mf or the exhaust mf?
Was your idle problem the same as mine? thanks dude
belts were changed, tho there always has been a slight idle problem, but only really when sitting in traffic, but pretty much the same problem. Its just now permanent. Had belts, oil and filter changed, drove about 3000km, had a detail done, they got water in the sparks, replaced the sparks and...
Ye I cleaned it in the same way, I used almost a full bottle of carb cleaner and then lubed it with some Q-20.
I cant seem to find any leaks anywhere.
It does ilde, but its all over, at 2k then at 1.2k then at 3k and most times i have to blip the throttle to get it to come down to a...
I dont get it, I put pics, video's and describe things as best I can, and no one is interested or even replies to any of my threads, and I genuinely need help and guidance badly. Am I doing something wrong?
Ye cleaned out and lubed with TB in the right places, I'm not too sure the TPS would do this, but then again, I wouldnt really know. New ICV has made zero difference at all.. aaarrrrrgggg
ignition on and off 5 sec intervals about 5 time to set it and then it idles normall.. still hasnt fixed my problem tho unless it takes a while to settle in
Holy crap, just put it in, started the car and it jumps right to 5k revs and just sits there.. is this normal? does it have to learn the ecu or something?
So I've been having issues with my idle, and cant get a clip working, so went with a few people recommendations and got a new ICV.
The two look almost identical, but the new one has a blue ring on the front and the old one has a slanted green one. All the numbers on the plastic everywhere are...
