If anyone happens to have their door cards off at the moment or have had them off recently could you answer me this simple question....
Which of these 6 pins does the live/earth (or positive/negative i dont know) go to?
It should be easily identifiable as there are two wires that run to the...
Maybe something to consider when I find a job that pays alright, cheers for the info mate, really appreciated. May be able to sort a second hand compressor off an ex mechanic/painter so that could make it cheaper :)
Would using one gun not be possible? If I had no intention of painting/priming...
Not meaning to thread-jack (and this my help the OP) but....
How much can a gun and compressor be picked up for reasonably?
I'm a pretty good painter with rattle cans and know all about prep work etc but tbh with my funds I'd be looking as cheap as possible, only used to do bits and pieces...
Real s**tter that mate, I'm not sure what you mean about the old people thing, but you could get two of these made up in vinyl... (one for either side so it matches)
I think i know someone who could make them up very easily so if you measured it I could get it done for the cost of a stamp...
2 - No you will not lose your insurance, you will continue to be insured for the rest of the year.
3 - Having protected no claims will help yes, as you can still put that you have "x" amount of no claims on your insurance applications but you will have to inform them of the incident, hopefully...
You'd better be kidding!!!
This looks like it could be a great turn out if everyone comes and a good selection of cars.
(Not to mention the chance to meet a lot more members )
Cheers mate, excuse the kitchen, its the only totally unfinished room in the house. Horrible at the moment. :dead:
I'll let him know lol!
Aluco, yeah I shoulda just layered up the lacquer but theres no harm in having a few layers of paint I suppose. I'm going to lacquer them tommorrow and...
Cheers mate. If people are willing to take off the cover them selves then thats fine by me.
Its a bit fiddly and has to be sewn with pliers to get it through the thick bit of leather so it looks good.
I want to let the primer/paint/lacquer harden before each next layer.
I figure they get so dirty that it'd be worth trying to get the layers to harden as much as possible to reduce the change of them going rank and yellow. They will be finished tmrw ;)
What do you think of the moondust silver...
I'm around until about half 5-ish if thats any good for you megz?
I tell ya, its not f**king pink!!!!
Yes I am ;)
You really need to change your name (your actual name) I was here first.:rasp:
Only a small update....
Took the handles round to my garage and got the paint on.
First coat of paint:
My mate was bored watching me paint so he customized my "booth" it now includes a dry-holder and a spray can holder.
Last coat of paint:

Cheers all, glad you like them Ben. I imagin once in the car it won't even be noticable.
Ad, trousers can be posted my way, but if I like them they may not get posted back :P
Ok so picked up an interior off of James at JMS, I only wanted the door cards but bennnyboy182 wanted the seats... the passenger airbag had gone off, so I (being handy with a needle) offered to fix it for him.
Finished this today and refitted the cover onto the seat.
The resutls...
Previously...
Right, update time.
Drove all the way to Uxbridge mid week to pick these up off of James at JMS (cheers).
Managed to fit all 4 door cars AND a full set of 172 seats (for ben on here) in the back of the car. James couldn't quite believe it (nor could I tbh).
Problem was the grab...
Rob, you ***** ;)
Steve, mini meet sounds good, would love a day meet with your PC tbh ;)
Fletcher, by the time me and Rob had finished it was too dark to take any decent pics. These weren't great either, no sun at all, but had to take some shots before I drove it to Uxbridge and back.
Cheers...

Cheers steve, yeah its changed quite a bit, for the better IMO.
Well I'm sorry I don't have me a DSLR! Best I could do with a point and click and no lighting. :rasp:
Looking at getting a ph1 172 around xmas/new year as long as I'm working so I don't know if there'd be any point in coilovers.
I'm doing all of this on job seekers atm! LOL!!!!!
