Re: Project 172 *** ITB'S - 204bhp *** Sausage filter fitted Page 14
Aren't a good bucket less than 10kg?? If so thats a pretty big saving and you'll be flying with them out!
This is crazy, a lot of time, money and effort going into this, but a very good read so far. Looking forward to seeing more.
Oh, and that previous build (the white one) is FCUKING MINT!
Re: Project 172 *** ITB'S - 204bhp *** Sausage filter fitted Page 14
I'd be suprised by that, but I fitted ph1 172 seats to mine the other day and jesus were they heavy, was that drivers or passenger weight? the drivers seemed to weigh more? Or was that all in my head? On the bright side...
Never seen this thread before, gotta say your skills are awesome. The scratch removal right at the start is what I need to do on a few of mine, just havent got the balls. I've done it on my mates old fiesta because he doesnt care about it, just seems scary sanding my own :(
Love the car mate...
Couldn't agree more with the positive comments, I can drive mine fast enough on a road to satisy me and have fun when its empty out.
Its not the best motorway cruiser, but now i have sport seats, which are a lot more supportive, its a fun little car until i can afford something faster.
Nein, any idea MT? I've just got the 6x9's running instead of the rear speakers... these were wired in for about 3 weeks before with no problems, then i took the seats out and put in sport seats, this meant unplugging the shelf and my sub but that was all?
Awesome, good plans with the ph2 bumper, I'd be buying a ph1 172 if I hadn't had a ph1 for the last 4 years, need something that looks more different. Look forward to pics.
Thing is I have not moved these leads in years, just added some wires for 6x9's which is bridged off the rear speakers, so why would it start all of a sudden?
Its something i put together myself buying parts off ebay mate. Where abouts in Luton are you from?? I'm up there on thursday onwards for a few days so I could show you. Overall cost is about £17 and it sounds cracking IMO. (well for a 1.2)
I've added a cheap induction kit to mine just for the noise. The silicone bend puts the filter in a much better place than standard, and definately doesnt slow it down. So if you want it to sound good, then its worth considering.
I did have an exhaust at one point, which sounded lovely, but it...
Hahaha, no shite music here sir. I did have a quick check but its dark. I've gotta drive all the way to camden now with an annoying noise in my ear (the missus) and this bad connection!
Mines only a 1.2, and if i turn the stereo off it makes no noise, but if i just turn the volume down or pause the track it still makes it. Must be something to do with audio, but I'm just stumped as to what?
I don't see why it would be? The stereo has been in for around 6 months, always been fine. The only changes i have made recently is to unplugg the sub from the amp, and unplugg the 6x9 shelf (just spade connectors) to put the new seats in and then plug them back in.
Fitted ph1 sport seats to the car yesterday, everything fine, driven it a few times. Then...
Get in the car to drive back from a mates and get a high pitched noise, which gets higher/louder as i get higher in the rev range, same when in neutral.
First thoughts are bad earth?? Too many wires to...
Had no idea about adding and stuff tbh, I started the account really half arsed tbh. Gonna try get it going though.
Your pics looks pretty cool too, loving the cat!
Lovely pussy shot tbh, shame about that tiny bit of grass but i don't think it loses much from it.
Thanks to your thread I think I have found something to do with my jobless days. Walking and taking pictures seems appealing now.
