I have a phase 1 Clio 172 exclusive which is on Koni sport suspension with cooksport lowering springs with 16mm spacers front and 20mm rear. I’m wanting to fit 16 inch wheels to my car from a Clio trophy and I need to raise the car back up and was wondering if this suspension is compatible with...
...will only be used at weekends in the good weather and maybe try a track day or 2. So mods wise there won’t be much I’m wanting to do, wheel spacers are definitely up there though more for looks than anything else and either a wheel refurb or different wheels, seats, some bracing etc...
...I then got some 6mm MDF and cut some templates, before backing them with some cheap automotive carpet and attaching a few small spacers so it lies flat. I'm really pleased with the result and I think it gives an almost OEM style look which I was aiming for. The only thing which detracts is...
That s the uprated nut and has the spacer included for that thing you need a top mount also the top hat that you put on the outside there s 2 versions , one the is flat and one that has like a spacers that is curently on your car .
Hope that it helps , sorry english is not my maternal language .
You got the tiny nut that holds the top mount and under it theres a spacer , the uprated version theres a 22mm nut with spacer included also the top mount has the middle hole made for that 22mm nut .
I will post some pics so you understand
Ok I’ll have to look into some wheel bolts and definitely I will probably prefer the Turini wheels but might go back as they are the rims for the exclusive that are on the car at the moment.
Thanks for the help everyone
If you take the spacers off you'll have no issues at all, except for needing shorter wheel bolts maybe. And then preferring the car on the trophy Turini's and never going back 😂👍.
...about the technical specs like the offset I don’t really understand what your talking about but what I can tell you is that I have 16mm spacers in the front and then 20mm spacers in the rear and the rims I’m looking at buying are genuine Renault rims from the 182 trophy so I don’t really know...
It’s not that simple, we’d need to know what wheels, different wheels have different offsets.
Fundamentally the size wheel/tyre will fit within the arch, but you’d need offset information to finalise
...refurbished. I was wondering if it is possible to fit 16 inch rims with the following tyre dimensions- 195/45/16 to my car without having to change anything baring in mind it’s on lower springs and spacers which the previous owner installed.
If anyone can tell me that would be amazing...
Howdy!
Wondering if 16x7 with 205/45/16 or 16x7,5 will rub
and in case I install my resting brembos will need spacers.
Now I am on stock oz f1s and flirting with Azev As and white Technomagnesio Indianapolis.
Yellow 172 btw...

Yes whatever RS did its a big improvement on the Non Trophy models. Considering all the gripes and groans with the 200 was almost totally about how slow the gear change was. Renault did address it and just gave it the sane gearbox software as the Trophy. In Sport mode its almost beyond instant...
Gearbox will be the same. The software will be different and on the paddles there are spacers so it takes less movement to switch gear. Its naff all tho.
...the seats tilted towards the middle, which I learned was partly due to the OMP subframes and partly to do with using the factory plastic spacers.
I've removed all 8 of them and after refitting the seats the tilt is less noticeable but they still meet in the middle. I suspect I have used...

Ooft f**k off with your 2118's Turini's for the win 😍.
I can't decide if the car is too low or not now🤔. It's not rubbed yet which is surprising because they are close!
Fitment is good though, maybe needs a little spacer at the back?
And yes they are 18's with 225/40 conti sport 7 and even...
Ended up adding 10mm stub axle spacers to the rear beam as part of the geo, so now it looks proper good with both front and rears pushed out a bit. Been too wet to give it a proper go and see how that all feels but it looks nice at least.
Also had my detailer give Cerakote’s headlight refresh...
...well.
Not sure if they do them in 195 though and the PS5 are a bit chunkier around the edges than the PS3. But unless you're running wide spacers that should be an issue. Handling wise I have no idea, never had 195 width tyres on my car but handles pretty well on 205s.
Another option if you...
Good afternoon,
I've had my clio 1.4 16v on the lift yesterday and found quite some up and down play in the wheel. It moves the whole control arm with it, so I believe it narrows down to the top mounts.
The top mounts have been replaced about 2 years ago, or about 50k km ago, when I replaced...
...cracking and chipping almost immediately. Not that this wont happen with painting but its pretty cheap to paint.
Also recommend the axle spacers, really imrpoves the stance.
Update!
I've not really updated this in a while. The problem i have is the cams are still on backorder so I'm really...
