Hello there!
After replacing my buggered OEM mount with a vibratechnic mount, ive had a fair bit of vibration.
I had a read on here and someone said to put the bolts in lightly and start the engine and turn it off again then tighten the bolts.
But after another look on here, that isnt the...
Back again... just finished fitting the vibratechnic upper engine mounting but the shaft is still pretty much touching the engine.
Could it be the apex lowering springs mixed with 15" wheels?
...172..
Been a busy few days on my days off work,
Painted the engine bay after various smoothing which looks smart, also fitted vibratechnics engine mount, baileys header tank, alloy radiator,
The car also came back from EFI parts last week where it had adaptronic standalone fitted with a...
I just pulled the lower bracket out this morning to make it easier to work with.
Here is a video of the issue, as i am sending it to VibraTechnics to explain it better.

The Gearbox stud could also be bent slightly, so i will find a new 16.5mm bolt somewhere today...
I have not done the drivers side mount yet.
I have a VibraTechnics one to go in but the previous owner had just installed a brand new OEM drivers side mount.
It appears that my Gearbox one is badly manufactured but can not be certain.
The bottom section of the mount, the part that first goes...
HI all,
Ripped my old oem gearbox mount out of my Clio 172 to find this.
YUP, DEAD!!
I have VibraTechnics Gearbox and Engine mounts ready to go in.
Here is my issue, i get the old oem upper Gearbox mount out and find that the VibraTechnics mount will not fit over the gearbox mount stud...
Re: Tim's R26 Banana Boost Bus
Top engine mount bolt shearing? I'll keep the rear stabiliser bar.
I am as well!
Yes that's Pete's Panda. It will be flying along to Le Mans!
Re: Tim's R26 Banana Boost Bus
Be careful running those Vibratechnic mounts, I've read a few horror stories about them on meganes....
But the rest of the plans sound excellent!
Re: Tim's R26 Banana Boost Bus
Update:
Last September I fitted the ITG induction kit, Forge hardpipes and 630cc injectors.
Unfortunately when up at RS Tuning having it mapped Paul discovered that the turbo was damaged so only made 256bhp when I was hoping for 285bhp+ :dapprove:
I was...
i've just fitted vibra technics mounts to my 197 and there is a fair bit of vibration on start up and tick over but the cars fine when on the move, feels a lot better
...of is the steering, I did change the steering bushes a few weeks ago, but if something got loose I would feel that at the wheel immediatly right?
I also think I feel movement in the gearstick that wasn't there before...I have Vibratechnics enginemounts and powerflexdogbone....could they have...
...on here mention about if they're fitted 'correctly' they won't vibrate as much?
Now I'm not overly bothered about vibration as I had vibratechnics mounts on my 16v converted 106 Rallye, and thought they were amazing mounts and didn't find them vibrating too much, so if it was similar to...
...your best bet. Or a 2nd hand one if you can find one, they pop up from time to time.
Thinking about it if I remember right, eBay and vibratechnics themselves and the above are all within a couple of quid of each other on price. So doesn't really matter where you order from
But if your...
...what its called lol)
But wasn't sure if to paint it all in the black or not.
If I was to spray it all black I was going to give the vibratechnics mout a freshen up in silver, and find some black bolts failing that spray the bolts black.
Or if I sprayed the bracket and that raised bit at...
Hi guys, the top engine mount on my 182 is split so need a replacement, as a standard replacement appears to be about 55£ I though I might aswell get an uprated one. Where's the cheapest place to get a vibratechnics or similar? Thanks.
...must have been like that since the Nordschliefe incident! Since even a cheap standard one is about £55?, I guess I'll be going down the Vibratechnics Fast road mount route in afew weeks.
Pics for your enjoyment
Genuine gear to fit
Pump hole on block! took ages to clean the old seal off...
I've still got Vibratechnic engine and gearbox mounts if you want to buy them off me.
Will it bump start? I've also still got a coil pack and ht leads if you want to rule them out as a problem.
...to find in the UK either - which is why I ordered one from Ktec originally.
To complicate things even more, I recently fitted Ktec/vibratechnics mounts (upper engine and gearbox - already had powerflex dogbone bushes in) and it looks like I don't have the knocking anymore - well, at least on...
Easy one... Most likely corrosion on the main control relay terminals, faulty main control relay or corrosion to the 30A/15A fuses in the bay stopping power flowing properly.
Finished fitting the vibratechnics gearbox mount, Refitted the battery that had been on charge. Tried to fire it up but it cranked but wouldn't fire. Plugged the RS tuner in and had about 6 df009 codes - actuator relay fault. Having second thoughts about making it my daily now lol.
