Normally a earthing problem. Try removing the rear clusters, removing the bulbs and cleaning the connectors.

First one is very common When you brake does the fog light sign flicker on the dash inbetween the rev counter and speedo? As mentioned above just whip the rear lights off and clean up the terminals with a bit of sand paper.
